Good to see them drop the visors. Hopefully Abdelkader sticks with this role.
-
Then don't watch on FSD. They sponsor the broadcast.
-
I love how at that point it was 6-0 Boston and a little over 5 minutes left in the 3rd and they can't just let that go.

Nick Lidstrom: Plus/Minus Watch Thread

I'm not very optimistic our goaltending can take us far. -

I might actually get to tune in and watch this one! LGW! -

I don't consider Ericsson or Abdelkader anything close to enforcers. -
Gretzky Speaks on Player Respect
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to WorkingOvertime's topic in General
I can't think of any other teams besides us that is "enforcerless". Every other team in the league has guy(s) that drop the gloves. -
The person below me game...
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in Water Cooler
No, I wish I was though. The person below me has missed too much Wings hockey due to work this season -
How good would Team Michigan be in the Olympics?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
Team Minnesota would give us a good run. Guys like Dustin Byfuglien, David Backes, Matt Cullen, etc. Team New York would be interesting too. Erik Cole, Patrick Kane, Lee Stempniak, Dustin Brown, Patrick Kaleta, Jimmy Howard -
The suspension was extreme, but the fact that he's the definition of a repeat offender did him over. Good to see his ass out for a while.

Could this be the end of Ozzy's career?

At one point, Justin Abdelkader was on pace for about 410 penalty minutes.

3/23 GDT: Canucks 2 at Red Wings 1

Brad McCrimmon's self esteem has just been destroyed. -
I agree with Shoreline, the hit wasn't the cleanest, but I feel the league dealt with it correctly in not handing out any further discipline. The NHL can't make calls and suspend players based solely on the result of a hit.

I know Rick Rypien recently got back on the ice for the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Hopefully he works his way back into the NHL. Maybe he could get in the lineup for Vancouver's playoff run?
-
I'd like us to get younger. I know we've got around and around with this kind of discussion about 4,156,813,266 times, but seriously get some muscle up front. A grinder. If we meet a team like San Jose in the playoffs, we're gonna get grinded right into the ice. Jared Boll, David Clarkson, Dan Carcillo, Chris Thorburn, Gregory Campbell, and Zenon Konopka are all available this off-season, and that's not even the tip of the iceberg.

Sucks to get home from work and see this. -
San Jose wouldn't be fun. They're a pretty gritty team and the travel wouldn't be benficiary to us.
-
He'll probably decide to go with the visor for the rest of his career.
-
The Toronto sun is reporting Orr could be back by the end of the season. Supposedly he's been symptom-free for a good amount of time. Good for him and hope to see him back

Whats your favorite "BAD" contract right now?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Rick Zombos Ghost's topic in General
The contract the Rangers shelled out for Derek Boogaard. He has 45 PIM in 22 games, and he's been out with concussion symptoms for a while now. I still laugh at the fact that Philadelphia gave Jody Shelley what they did. -
2 games seems fair. Ott being Ott. 2nd in the league in penalty minutes.

Good to come home from work and see this. Atta boy, J Mac! -
Good to see the overall view of the Chara hit was a "hockey play". I'd like to see s***heads like Cooke suspended longer as well. Good to see there's still some commom sense left.

Lemieux proposes fines to teams for player suspensions
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
So does Lemieux plan on writing his annual $5 million check now or later?.. This is getting out of control. What's next? Fine the owner(s)of the team? The city in which a team plays? Their home arena?
