quote name='esteef' timestamp='1297296828' post='2113654'] He's got it down to a science now where he can just waltz through waivers too. esteef WADDYA MEAN?!? FOPPA LOVES THE GAME! HE JUST DOESN'T SEE THE POINT IN PLAYING A WHOLE YEAR. HE'S SO DEDICATED TO PLAYING THE LAST QUARTER OF THE REGULAR SEASON

Leafs trade Beauchemin back to Anaheim

Maybe Bauchemin can find his game again in Anaheim. He has had a mediocre year at best in Toronto. -
Chicago acquires Michael Frolik

Stillman and McCabe are next. -
One hell of a game. The Price/Thomas confrontation was nothing. Montreal bit off more than they could chew physically. At the end of the game, it was Tom Pyatt who threw the first shot at Gregory Campbell, and Campbell proceeded to pound him to a pulp. Subban did some running around. Lucic and Horton both had good games on the score sheet and in the physical department. Boston leads the league in fighting majors. They can mix it up with just about anyone. Montreal isn't a real test, as far as physicality, though.

I'm sure the league will review it. Whether he gets suspended or not, we will find out soon.

The person below me game...
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to SouthernWingsFan's topic in Water Cooler
Not an insane amount. Probably not enough, actually The person below me has been very anti-social lately. -
Maybe a defenseman? Can't imagine us going after anyone up front.

This guy has already ruined Marc Savard's career, he's throwing these types of hits on a weekly basis. The league won't throw him out. Hell, they won't even suspend him. So someone's gonna have to force him out. This is just sad that a total scumbag is allowed to run around and do this kind of s***. He hides behind the refs and that visor whenever he is challenged. He's got ZERO respect for other players. What's it gonna take? How you can justify these antics? None of his teammates have spoken out on it, and I don't know how someone can ignore this kind of stuff. I don't care if he's on your team or not. This stuff doesn't belong in the game. It's a damn shame that players like Matt Cooke do nothing but take out knees and throw hits from behind, and never have to fight their battles. He's got Eric Godard and Mike Rupp to fight his battles. Rant over, for now.

Wisconsin seems like a good relocation site. Madison, maybe? Milwaukee? -
He's gonna be the real deal, man. This counts for our weekly Derek Dorsett conversation

Well without a salary cap it would be different I thought we were thinking with a salary cap

Both can play physical and put up points. What's wrong with that?

For $500,000 you really can't go wrong. Could prove to be a solid pickup for Anaheim.

That's as far as he's ever gonna get -
That's true, but at the same time, Bertuzzi did apologize at least (Whether it was a sincere apology we may never know). Either way, Cooke is, in my book, undoubtedly the biggest scum in the NHL right now.
-
Yeah, but so was the hit on Savard. So Savard was embarrassed and his NHL career is in jeopardy. It is looking less and less likely he will ever be back to the pre-Cooke hit.
-
That's not enough. He's still able to skate.
-
They could've given San Jose a call about Setoguchi instead of bringing this ****** back.
-
Every time Boston plays Pittsburgh, I pray that one of the Bruins goes after him, and really gets him good. I used to think Avery and Ott were in the same category of doucher pansees, but honestly, Cooke is on a level of his own.

The proof is in the pudding. Can't argue with laughable attendance and TV ratings statistics like those. There's no sugar-coating it. -

That's true, the Marlins have just atrocious numbers, as well. Florida (Miami and Orlando) do great when it comes to the NBA, though. -
I'm still waiting for Matt Cooke to get his. He's got it coming to him, hopefully.
