To be honest, I think Ericsson stays and Kindl is shipped out of town or is sent back to the minors. The ideal replacement for Salei would be Matt Carkner from Ottawa or Shane O'Brien from Nashville. Of course, there are plenty other guys I wouldn't mind seeing take Salei's spot, but i'll save the huge list for later on

It's that hate the old wooden sticks attract.
-
I was thinking about this earlier. Suter just turned 26, and in 39 games he has 22 points and is +17. Isn't he unrestricted after this year?
-
I don't expect anything, but i'd love to see Matt Carkner here.
-
Not a surprise to see Datsyuk voted as the most difficult to take the puck off of As far as the hardest shot, I have to think Adrian Aucoin is right behind Chara.
-
I'm surprised he's been able to stay relatively healthy. He's been banged up in years past. Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing him as a backup, or "7th defenseman" next year like you said, but I think we need to find someone younger who can play that stay-at-home style for around the same salary as Salei is making right now. Plenty of guys come to mind.
-
He's had some atrocious mistakes, but overall he has looked decent, especially for what he is getting paid. Not sure how much he' got left in the tank, though. He's a decent penalty killer. I'd like to see us get someone younger in the summer, though. Salei has been a decent acquisition.

How about Tim Gleason? Michigan native
-
Agreed, Salei was mediocre at best tonight.
-
I personally think adding Matt Carkner could help him out a little, as far as the defensive part of his game. Blocking shots, etc. Maybe a fighting lesson or two wouldn't hurt him.
-
Which one of the 25 skanks is that?

Ducks Sued for Anti-Semitism by Former Draft Pick

Holy s***, more poltical correctness. Get the hell over it. Willy O'Ree probably had it a million times worse. People are so sensitive it makes me sick. -
You trying to start a riot?

I saw Dorsett got a five minute major for boarding earlier so i'll have to look for the vid...That and Torres is making nearly double of what Miller is right now. Although it will probably not sit well with many posters here, I wouldn't mind seeing Dan Carcillo here. He shows a bit of offensive potential, not as much as Dorsett, in my mind though.
-
I tried hard not to, but......... Lol.
-
Fair enough. Neil is insanely overpaid. Anything like 2 mil for a fourth liner is ridiculous. For Miller's salary, there are still plenty of guys i'd take over him. A guy that is not on that list that makes roughly (if not less) than Miller is Derek Dorsett in Columbus. I see some wicked offensive potential in him. He is near the top of my wish list. Now that I think about it, wasn't it you who mentioned you'd like to see him here, too?

All play half the minutes Hudler does.

Come on now, Konnan. There is a surplus of players that can throw their weight around and put up points. *Raffi Torres-21 Points *Brandon Prust-18 Points *Gregory Campbell-18 Points *Jason Chimera-17 Points *Matt Hendricks-15 Points *Chris Thorburn-15 Points *Shawn Thornton-12 Points *David Clarkson-12 Points *Brad Winchester-12 Points *Chris Neil-11 Points *B.J. Crombeen-10 Points I can keep going if need be... Point is, there are plenty of bottom 6 guys that can take a regular shift and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. I specifically remember wanting Kenny to sign Matt Hendricks to a league minimum contract over the summer, and I was laughed at.
-
Thank you.
-
This isn't about "Enforcers". You can never have enough guys that can play a regular shift and drop the gloves on your team.
-
Like many have said, I don't think the acquisition of guys like D.J. King, Jody Shelley, David Koci, Eric Godard, Trevor Gillies, and Wade Belak will help out this team, but a team can never have enough guys like Brandon Prust, Zenon Konopka, David Clarkson, Jared Boll, and Brad Winchester. Guys that can play a regular shift and won't back down from anyone. Dallas Drake was the perfect acquisition in 2008.
-
How does Matt Cooke live with himself? He essentially ruined Marc Savard's career. So damn sad. I really want Boston to catch him off guard one of these games.
-
Carkner would be a perfect guy to take Salei's spot. Good shot blocking, hard hitting defenseman that is able to effectively kill penalties. This could be Ruslan's last season in the NHL.
-
Kulemin bit off more than he could chew there. He definitely initiated it. I don't think Gleason broke "The Code" there, Kulemin clearly initiated it, and Gleason really fed him one.

Forsberg didn't throw any cheapshots? Dan Cloutier says hi... BTW, like Eva said, McSorley didn't ruin anyone's career.
