Official Detroit Lions thread

The Detroit Lions have life!!!!!!!! -
I'll admit, the train whistle is lame. We could do without the train whistle if he was a Wing.
-
That's what the NHL gets. It would make my day if it was cancelled.
-
He's one of those guy you hate playing against, but we all know he would be a fan favorite in Detroit. Hopefully he sorts his problems out and returns to the ice soon.
-
One of the more gritty lines in the league, indeed. Gotta be one of the best agitating lines.
-
Over 10 minutes of ice time and not even a shot on goal to show for it..man...
-
Datsyuk out 4-5 weeks with broken bone in hand

Time for someome to step up *Hudler* it will be interesting to see how we hold up without him. -
New Jersey's situation about to explode

Chalk up another loss. 5-1 to Washington. -
Which is why I refuse to support it. The Winter Classic is all about money and attendance and TV ratings. That's all they care about. Guarantee you if Minnesota had a game there they'd sell out in no time at all, but they play a "boring style of hockey". Its all about $$$$$
-
Its Pittsburgh's 2nd Outdoor game, with teams like Minnesota, Toronto, and the Rangers without a chance in the spotlight, and I refuse to support it. I think I speak for many when I say this.
-
I'm still boycotting it as well. I'm thinking Barnes & Noble for a while, then maybe the local card shop
-
I'm not sure what its gonna take to light a fire under his ass. He's been getting scratched on and off and still nothing..
-
I like what Eaves brings to the table. We need to hang onto him.
-
That would be a good trade for both parties, with Detroit acquiring some sandpaper and Hudler getting a fresh start in Toronto. It doesn't appear Rosehill will get much time in Toronto this season, anyway.
-
Yeah a few of my co-workers are Avs fans and they aren't happy with him. He hadn't played great leading up to the injury, and I guess they're relieved he's done for the year.
-
When we won the Cup in 2008, we had the perfect blend of skill and.....say it with me....griit. Drake, Helm, McCarty..grit. We dont have the blend right now, imo.
-
He is looking better. I remember last year he got tossed around by Morris in the playoffs and I had my doubts but it seems like his mechanics are a little better. As long as he loses the visor before he fights, I dont mind him fighting. Good to see him bounce Ott tonight. I'd like to see Ericsson scrap more but its just not looking like hes got that mean streak we've been hoping for.
-
Rough year for Quincey.
-
Id love to see him here. Good to see Abdelkader not throw any punches while his visor was still on. I had a feeling someone was gonna need to answer the bell tonight.
-
None of those guys regularly scrap. Would you like a list of players from each team with more fighting majors than the leader of fighting majors on Detroit? I'd be glad to compose one. And for the record, you're the biggest joke this website has to offer, so don't tell me i'm not taken seriously.
-
I don't understand why Rosehill isn't getting any time with the Leafs this year. He's a Brian Burke player. Toronto isn't as rough and tumble as many expected them to be under Burke. Sure, Colton Orr can handle just about anyone, but typical Brian Burke teams have several guys up and down the lineup that will get their hands dirty.
-
I suppose it would be a decent trade for us. Just about anything is better than Hudler right now. How about Hudler to Atlanta for Chris Thorburn
-
Happy to see him with a regular spot on Long Island. One of the few pure goons in today's NHL.
-
Detroit is the only team in the NHL that doesn't have AT LEAST one guy that will readily scrap. Most teams have multiple guys that are willing to drop the gloves. Come playoff time we aren't gritty enough and we get bounced around.
-
UK Red Wing and Newfy were listing grittier guys that are putting up more goals than Hudler, meanwhile getting half of clucks ice time. Read the thread before you post sarcastic stuff like this, bud.
