11/5 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Oilers 1
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Fraser leads the Oilers in PIM so far and hes Abdelkader's weight class so maybe we'll see fireworks. Better see Abby drop the visor before throwing. Edmonton has a fairly gritty team this year. -
Get ready folks, hitting is about to exit our game

Another inatallation of "hitting is mean and yucky" brought to you by Gary Bettman and all the other assholes that are ru(i)nning the league. -
Get this f***** outta town. Hes a damn bum. no way in hell he's gonna score 50 points, let alone 70, like so many people predicted. Pretty sure I was called a dumbass for thinking otherwise in the offseason.

Thornton deserves a suspension, due to the fact that Perron fell on the ice. Gimme a ******* break. -

Well with Parise out for the next few months, maybe the Devils are looking for another forward on the market?
-
through 8 games played, he has 3 points and is a -6..i realize its early..not on pace for the 50/60 points everyone was guaranteeing around here not too long ago..Clarkson is exactly what we need. Hard hitter, not afraid of anyone, and he brings a bit of an offensive presence. Ive been hoping kenny would ****** this guy ever since his rookie season.

I'm taking a trip to New York City in a few months and I'm wondering if anyone has been to the NHL Powered By Reebok store? I've heard its pretty expensive. I was also wondering if anyone knows of any other stores in the city that have NHL merchandise. Modell's is another one I've heard about for merchandise. Thanks in advance, everyone

I've heard that its $35 for a t-shirt..Is that true? Since Crysby is the poster boy for Reebok, he's gonna be all over, unfortunately. Do they carry a lot of player jerseys? Or is it mainly plain jerseys? -
Brown Gets ejected for clean hit
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to jollymania's topic in General
A boarding major and a game misconduct is plenty enough discipline for that hit. I'd be beside myself if Brown is slapped with a fine or suspension. -
He's battling for a spot in the lineup with all the young talent coming through the system.

I expect Modell's to be mostly local, but mainly what I'm wondering is whether the NHL store is all its cracked up to be or not. -
It was a solid hit. Jesus. Selanne's a little pansee. Hopefully Kronwall finds his rhythm again and he starts stepping up and lowering the boom again this year. I don't wanna hear about O'Halloran giving us any breaks either. Maybe Dats needs to pick someone else from the Ducks and kick the s*** out of them too. Looking forward to Abdelkader returning. Hopefully he'll lace 'em up the next time we play these assholes.

Atlanta's Attendance Last Night

Atlanta and Phoenix need to relocate first, in my opinion. Atlanta couldn't sell out even with Kovalchuk on the team. Phoenix has an up and coming squad, and still can't draw 10,000. Move Atlanta to Quebec City, and move Phoenix back to Winnipeg. Same number of teams in each conference. Divisions might have to be tweaked a bit. Hockey does not belong in cities like Atlanta, Phoenix, and Miami (Sunrise). The attendance numbers prove it. Even with competing teams in Phoenix, they have a laughable fan base. Same goes for Atlanta. Up and coming, young team, and will be lucky get 50% of the arena full. Cities like Winnipeg and Quebec are STARVING for an NHL franchise. Time to give it up, Bettman&company. -

If I remember correctly, the poverty rate in Atlanta is above national average. Their financial situation is similar to Detroit's. -
Hopefully Komisarek can stay healthy for them. Solid looking defense. It will be interesting to see if they can keep rolling.

He doesn't seem to mind it. A little scrappiness won't hurt.

10/21 GDT: Flames 2 at Red Wings 4

Hopefully my RWL application will be accepted in time for the game tomorrow! Calgary has a scrappy team like usual. -
The fact that ESPN decides to cover nothing but these types of incidents doesn't help..
