If Selanne and Kariya are re-united, a few mil is knocked off right there. I don't believe James Neal has re-upped with Dallas yet, either. Could be wrong on that though.

What Current NHL Players are Locks for the Hall of Fame?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
5 years won't get anyone into the HOF. You must play a decent amount of time, and as I've said before, there's just no way a player who has 5 years under his belt can even get anywhere near consideration, regardless of Harts awarded during those few years. 5 years won't do it. You need to show that you're durable enough to play 15-20(sometimes more) seasons to get considered. Players that play for 5 seasons and retire aren't Hall Worthy.Period. -
I agree that Mitchell in a jersey other than a Canucks jersey would be odd, but not every organization is as loyal as the Detroit Red Wings. In addition, the Canucks are overstacked with defensemen right now. Ehroff, Bieksa, Edler, Salo, Rome, O'Brien, and I believe Alberts is under contract as well. I just can't see him back in Vancouver. *Add Hamhuis and Ballard

Good stuff. Are there Chelios Wings jerseys still being sold? Where could I find them?
-
True, I think there are better options out there. Arron Asham is my top choice but its not looking likely at all.

No way Lindros gets in. Scored less than 1,000 points. Just because a guy has a few good seasons, doesn't mean he's a Hall-Of-Famer. -

Osgood is a Hall-Of Famer, in my mind. He's got 3 Cups. He's ranked up there in all-time wins. Simple as that. -
I'd be all for Helm fighting more, as long as he's not hiding behind his windshield. If he loses the lid before he starts throwing, I'm fine with that.

Evgeny Artyukhin takes far too many lazy penalties to play in Detroit. He's so undisciplined, Anaheim couldn't deal with him and eventually traded him..ANAHEIM..think about it.

What's their situation with Seabrook?
-
Yeah that's the problem, Miller could be a 13th/14th forward in Anaheim, though. I think Dan Sexton has a regular spot in their lineup this year, so there's little, if any, spots to be had In Anaheim.

Crosby and Ovechkin are not hall of famers at this point in their careers. Are they on the right track?yes. Would they be hall of famers if they both retired tomorrow? No. Calling them hall of famers at this point is a bit early, to me. Gotta put up at least 1,000 points and there are/will be guys who score 1,000 points and still not get in (Keith Tkachuk). What about Rafalski? He's on the fence for me. Won Stanley Cups with both New Jersey and us.. -
Sheldon Brookbank would fit the bill of what we need. Why on earth would Kenny even consider Lukas Krajicek?

Forsberg eyeing another NHL comeback?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
For the 10 (sorry, 13) seasons he played, he was a force. To me, 13 years in the NHL isn't a full career. -
No thanks to Krajicek. We'll get a draft pick for Miller, that's about it. How about Willie Mitchell?
-
True, but then the question is whether we want to sigm him to a multi-year deal, given both his age and recent concussion problems.
-
Tigers all the way. Not the best luck with umpires this year, but we'll battle through it

Forsberg eyeing another NHL comeback?

I'd never buy a ticket on the single prospect of seeing him play. You talk about the guy like he's a legend. -
A Modano Wings jersey would be a hell of a collector's item, especially if we win the Cup and he retires.
-
Well I assume the announcement will be coming soon. I doubt Abby would take a ton, especially being aware of the cap crunch and the pursuit by Kenny of Willie Mitchell. I bet Abdelkader realizes this team needs every penny it can save to be able to get what they (Kenny&Co.) feel are needed to bring Stanley back where it belongs!
-
In my mind Abdelkader will get something like 900K-950K, but that still works!

Breaking news:Forsberg scheduling one hour show dedicated to his decision. It will be aired on ESPN.. And Forsberg's decision is..... "I'mma take my talents to Souff Beach" -
If Darren McCarty comes out of retirement, this will be the greatest offseason ever. Like Esteef said, we haven't won a Cup without him since 1955 One more year, D-Mac!

Yep. I wonder if he intends on returning for the beginning of the season or if he's content with joining someone mid-way through the year (Since half a season is all he can usually stay healthy for anyway) -

Doesn't seem like a lot of teams have room for him anyway..Unless he wants to play for the Panthers....
