GDT 4/8 GDT - Red Wings 4 at Sabres 2
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to MabusIncarnate's topic in General
My gosh, this crowd is silent. -
Iginla deserved that, considering he couldn't take a clean hit and felt the need to start a fight over it. His visor didn't save him that time.

Couldn't watch this one, but this is a huge 2 points. -

Huge win tonight. Nyquist is really making a name for himself. He's played unbelievable. -
gdt 3/30 GDT - Lightning 2 @ Red Wings 3

Huge couple of wins this weekend. -
Weiss wasn't what we needed in the first place. We need a power forward for the top 6. Weiss is just about the polar opposite of someone who is hard to play against, drops the gloves occasionally, and provides offense on a consistent basis. Can't do any of that stuff if you're made of glass.

GDT 3/27 GDT - Canadiens 5 vs. Red Wings 4

Disappointing loss. If we miss the playoffs, can we finally start making big changes? -
Who will sit once Abdelkader comes back? I'm hoping Emmerton.

Pens Twitter Fail:Ask Neal Anything...
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Son of a Wing's topic in General
He is also a huge diver and talks an awful lot of trash for someone with only a handful of career fights at the NHL level. Nobody is saying he has no talent, rather that his statistics are inflated by playing with Crosby and Malkin. Also, there is a difference between pissing off the opposition in the sense that a guy like Glendening does, by playing hard and finishing every check, and throwing cheapshots like Neal. -
gdt 3/25 GDT - Red Wings 2 at Blue Jackets 4

I like the combination of Miller, Helm, and Glendening. They're fairly physical, solid defensively, and put together some quality scoring chances on occasion. Keep them together. -
At least someone is putting the puck in the net.

How the f*** was that a penalty on Legwand? This officiating is a huge joke. -

Power forward? He has fought like 5 times in his NHL career. Neal is trash. -

Dallas Eakins loses his cool...thanks to some water
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to frankgrimes's topic in General
That's ridiculous. Hopefully Eakins is gone after this season. So much talent on that team and he just doesn't know how to utilize it. What a jerkoff. -

James Neal Cross-Check to Glendening's Head [GIF] - Suspension?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
I agree with you in that there should not have been suspensions handed out for last night's plays, but Orpik isn't exactly a clean player. Years ago he drilled Erik Cole from behind when Cole was still with the 'Canes. That was a very dirty play.More recently, he threw a knee-on-knee hit on Derek Stepan of the Rangers. Pretty sure he threw a knee-on-knee on Franzen a while back, too. He talks an awful lot of trash for someone who probably hasn't even fought 15 times in his NHL career. When he does fight, he fights guys who are smaller than him and aren't close to experienced fighters like Joffrey Lupul and RJ Umberger. Orpik is trash. -
That looks nothing like Babcock's bed.

Red Wings sign college FA Colin Campbell

Power forward? Why are we even talking about this guy? We'll never see him in a Wings jersey. -
GDT 3/16 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Blackhawks 4

-Franzen floated like a champ once again. -Alfredsson has looked mediocre, to be nice. -Legwand has become invisible since starting off decent with us. -We played decent in the 1st, especially, but completely s*** our panties by the midway point of the 3rd. -Howard, while some of the goals weren't completely on him, can't make saves when we really need them. -Put simply, we're not going to make the playoffs without Datsyuk and Zetterberg. -I want a fire sale when we don't make the playoffs. Bertuzzi, Alfredsson, Legwand, Franzen, Andersson, Cleary, Samuelsson, Emmerton, Quincey, and Lashoff all need to go. Get some players that give a s*** on this team. We've got too many players skating lackadaisically out there with the season on the line. -
Bickell is a huge spot-picker and Bollig has fought a grand total of 3 times this year. Love how Bollig was getting all chippy with Dekeyser of all people in the first.

A great scrap ends in....A high five and a hug?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Jersey Wing's topic in General
Like I said, I don't mind guys having mutual respect for each other. Hugging and high-fiving creates an atmosphere where the game is too friendly. That being said, I don't think the mutual respect shown by not pounding a guy when he is down makes anything too friendly. -

There's nothing wrong with physical hockey and fighting, but if I want to watch a staged joke where everyone is best buds at the end of the day, I'll watch WWE. Granted, I don't want to watch barbarians kill each other in constant bench-clearing brawls. I want hard-hitting, honest, passionate hockey. High fiving and hugging your opponent after you just beat the hell out of him is not passion. -
Solid post. I'd rather see him bought out this summer and have him find a spot on an NHL roster than have us let him rot in Grand Rapids. I like him and was jazzed when we signed him, but we're not utilizing him properly.
