Right before Zetterberg broke in the league,I remember buying a few packs at another little store and ended up getting his RC.I've got a couple different Zetterberg RCs. -
Well if I was Asham,I wouldn't be happy about fighting Colton Orr either

I've got binders piling up.I buy a box or two here and there.I find myself rooting for the guys that I get rookie cards of.My Jaroslav Halak rookie card is looking pretty good right now I picked up an Upper Deck set from like 1991 or 1992 for $5 at this little card shop outside of Cleveland recently.Ended up with rookie cards for Modano,Brind'Amour, and Derian Hatcher.Just a ton of valuable cards for $5.obviously the guy just wanted to get rid of them.Just never know what you're gonna find. -
Carcillo refused to fight Orr every time Toronto and Philadelphia played.
-
Anyone heard news about the statuses of Donald Brashear and Georges Laraque? Not that I'd want either of them here, but I'm expecting both of them to be on NHL rosters next year.
-
Haven't heard any news about the futures of Miller,Meech, and Ritola lately..
-
Bochenski went overseas. We haven't seen much of Adam Hall. He's been in the AHL,but who knows. They're gonna have a skilled, feisty team. That's for sure.
-
Gaustad doesn't really fight all that much, either.I couldn't find any details on whether McCormick's contract was two way contract or not.Buffalo signed Tim Conboy yesterday I believe, which will also make them a bit meaner.I couldn't find out if Conboy's was a two way either.Conboy can play defense and forward so maybe he'll get more playing time than he did with Carolina.
-
Cal should ditch the windshield and answer the bell on some of his questionable hits though..
-
Yeah I saw Buffalo re-signed McCormick to a 1 year deal.Maybe he'll be a regular in the Sabres lineup next year with the departure of Adam Mair.McCormick impressed in last year's playoffs against Boston. I think Koci will get more playing time this year, but not much more than 40 games,I'd say.He reminds me of Chris Simon with the cheapshots he pulls during fights.

Damn...that's harsh.why would she take them? -
Dustin Brown a power forward?
-
Esteef, have you gotten any text messages lately??
-
Neither am I.I was shocked and still am shocked Colorado re-signed him.
-
Comrie isn't anything near a power forward, but he's more physical than Modano (Not saying much). He'll fight here and there, but he's pretty small.A good well rounded 3rd line option would be Bill Guerin (Yes,former Penguin) or Owen Nolan. Both are old yes but they'll both bring more grit than Modano and put up near the same amount of points.
-
He was a hell raiser,no doubt about that.Cheap shot artist though.Maybe we'll see him in Phoenix next year.
-
I agree that signing Modano would give us a dominant top 9.I also agree that many of our prospects should take another year to develop before bringing them up.I think we need to sign or trade for guys like Mike Comrie, guys that will get their 40 points like Modano will, but will provide much needed grit and will also be a bit younger than Modano. What would you like to see done with this whole situation?
-
I do agree that David Backes is one.Brenden Morrow is a true power forward in my mind as well.
-
Jarome Iginla was the complete package before the lockout. These are the power forwards in the NHL in my mind: Steve Downie Ryan Getzlaf-always grinding, always mucking Ryan Clowe-Agressive as hell.Willing to go with anyone.Puts up points. Milan Lucic-See Ryan Clowe Any additions?
-
I think we should stick with the idea of giving the youth the playing time.I like the idea of getting younger.Modano is simply a want.He is,in no way, shape,or form,a need for this team.
-
I'd really only consider Downie and Getzlaf true powerforwards. When I think of a powerforward,I think of a guy that puts up points and is constantly under the other teams skin. When I think of a powerforward,I think of recklessness.I don't consider Iginla or Richards powerforwards because they definitely put up points, and they have their mean streaks here and there, but they don't put up the mass amounts of fighting majors and penalty minutes needed to be considered a power forward in my mind.
-
He played in the AHL last year for the San Antonio Rampage,Phoenix's farm team.He re-signed with Phoenix like a month ago,but I couldn't find any articles on whether the Coyotes planed to have him on the big team's roster next year.
-
Minnesota seems fitting, but they've got like 15 forwards under contract.San Jose has a vacant 3rd line center spot with the departure of Manny Malhotra to Vancouver.
-
Ryan Hollweg FTW
-
He'll score more points than Hudler next year. Not many true power forwards left in the league today. He's definitely the power forward of the league.
