He'll definitely score 20 goals again next year and he'll raise just as much,if not more,hell than he did last year.He's one of my favorite players in the league right now.

Over 20 goals and over 200 penalty minutes..and he's just getting started..I think he's a big deal.

The Flyers are looking something like this right now: (Gagne)-Richards-Zherdev Leino-Briere-Hartnell Van Riemsdyk-Powe-(Carter?) Shelley-Betts-Laperriere Where's Dan Carcillo fit in?I think the Zherdev signing bumped him down on their depth chart.If the guys with the big contracts (Carter/Gagne) can't be moved,they have to shed the cash somehow.They wouldn't have vastly overpaid Shelley just to trade him.Anyone think Philly could do a sign and trade with Carcillo?and with Detroit and Philly's friendly "business" relationship (the Leino deal),anyone think we could have another trade between us and them?Riley Cote has an easy contract to move and it doesn't look like he's got a spot.Bottom line is some players have to go. Thoughts?

Simply the style of play that Walker provides is what we need.I agree that we shouldn't be paying anywhere near $1.7 Million for a 6th defenseman.There's still plenty of guys out there that will provide what Walker provides for less.

Well Lilja isn't gonna be making much less wherever he goes.He wants top 4 playing time,I doubt he'll be making less than Walker.Walker won't block as many shots as Lilja,but he'll clear the crease more effectively and stick up for his teammates.People who compare the plus minus obviously have no idea how different Tampa and Detroit were last year.Tampa was horrible,so of course the majority of its players aren't gonna have the greatest plus minus.Walker is the definition of what this team needs right now.

For a #6 defenseman,Matt Walker is a hell of a lot more useful than Lilja.Come on now.

Walker is exactly what were looking for:big,mean,physical guy who blocks shots.

I don't think we could be lucky enough to have Philadelphia put him on waivers.
