Nikolai Zherdev does not sound like a Brian Burke type player,but neither does Maxim Afinogenov,so who knows.I'm thinking Burke will sign Raffi Torres very soon.

At this point,I don't see him re-signing.I think if Kenny was dying to have Lillypads back,he would've got the deal done a while ago.

Zherdev can just stay his lazy ass in the KHL.He was too good for the NHL last year.Once you bolt for another league such as the KHL,you shouldn't be allowed back.

Mara scares guys off the puck with the beard.That thing must have a mind of its own. Anyways,he's not my first choice,but I wouldn't be against it.Haven't heard much about how much interest he's getting.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got an offer from Florida.Lilja played for the Panthers earlier in his career so maybe.Especially with the mess they have down there.Lilja will definitely get more playing time on a team like Florida.

After the season was over,he stated he wanted to play in or near Toronto,where his family is.So I'm thinking Toronto or maybe Buffalo can pick him up if they desire (probably for league minimum).If he doesn't get any offers close to home,its looking like he'll retire.I really hope he's still playing next year. -
Zetterberg plays a hell of a lot better defensively.Doesn't have the nastiness Getzlaf can bring,but I'd rather keep Z.

I think Eaves has to be a lock for our roster next year.He's a decent all-around player.I think Miller is the odd one out,and maybe with the cluster of defensemen we have,we can piece Meech in as a part of the deal to get Boll.

I like the idea of a 4th line of Eaves-Abdelkader-Helm but there's no real threat as far as fisticuffs go.

I believe Burish signed a 2 year,$1.2 Million deal with Dallas.Could be wrong tho.

The Islanders placed him on waivers last year.I'm sure he'll sign for under a mil.Rugged,veteran defenseman.Wouldn't mind him in Detroit.

I'd be happy with Janik playing 6th defenseman as well.Signing another rugged day is not necessarily a need,in my opinion.I think Janik can do the job.
