Study on checking in youth leagues shows higher brain injury risk
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
I'm sick of hearing about this s***.Its hockey.if you don't like being hit, don't ******* play.its a traditionally violent sport. As Mike Milbury puts it,pansification of this game needs to stop. -
I think he's got potential to be a solid defensive defenseman tho.
-
That's what's worrying me too I miss guys like Shanahan,Hatcher,Roberts,Probert,Kocur, and all the old-time hell raisers.Chelios was a classic.
-
Career high 67 games played last year.Maybe his injury years are over?I'd welcome him here.
-
Colaiacovo for 1 mil.
-
Ryan Malone is everything Byfuglien's always wanted to be.
-
Adam Burish must have terribly miscalculated, cause he was going for Pronger's house..

How much better would we be looking with Leino and Kopecky

Look at where leino is from and it all starts to makes sense -
No idea.Maybe they're eyeing someone similar than Asham on the market that isn't as expensive?I'm not sure.

I know.fire kenny. -
He's gonna get a lot of offers.
-
In addition to the guys you mentioned,I wouldn't mind seeing O'Donnell here. He's be a great mentor for the younger guys.I don't think he would he a cap issue either, especially at his age.
-
Although they're gonna lose a significant amount of talent this offseason, their core is still gonna be solid with Toews,Seabrook,Kane,Hossa, and Keith.
-
Owen Nolan>Todd Bertuzzi

Gimme Asham and i'll be happy.

He's probably chillin with Mathieu Dandenault. You know what, that does look like a championship ballerina team.Good call. -
Would a real gritty fighter help or hurt this team?

I don't want a guy that's gonna run around, but take dumb, avoidable penalties.I want a guy who's tough as nails but disciplined at the same time.I want a guy who's gonna run around and answer the bell,no matter who challenges him,and a defensively responsible player.Obviously in today's NHL you have to be able to skate a little bit. This team would be a Cup contender if we got a little grittier on the bottom 6 and we tightened our defense.I believe the offense and the chemistry among players is there.I believe Jimmy Howard is solid enough to carry us.Just need a little more grit and we need go tighten up defensively -
I can see Marleau in Los Angeles since he said he wants to stay west.I don't see Kovalchuk in any NHL uniform again, tho.
-
I doubt St.Louis will let him go.he's a solid defensive defenseman.I think there's better options than Meyer for a 3rd pairing defenseman as well.
-
He would never crack the roster here anyway.
-
Its gonna be weird not seeing Cheli in an NHL uniform

While watching the Finals,I can't help but flash back to when Gary Thorne and Bill Clement were the crew for ESPN.Steve Levy used to call some NHL games on ESPN as well.I love Detroit's tandem of Ken and Mickey in the booth.Anyone have favorites?or guys they can't stand?
-
He'd be able to give Ericsson a few pointers on fighting.
