He didn't honor the Red Wings by not going to another NHL team.He was offered the most by Moscow and bolted.His decision to leave Detroit was purely about money.

I think Kenny was doing his job by trying to work out both of their contracts.GMs are sort of supposed to do that.But since Hudler was so SELFISH he bolted.If he really liked playing here,he would've taken a paycut to keep Sammy here.If he really liked playing here,he would've taken a paycut like Lidstrom does basically every year so Kenny can re-sign guys and keep this thing going so we can stay in contention.
