I'd love to see Aaron Ward back.he won't fight much but he's still a legit shut down defensemen.

This is what i wanna see: Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-Armstrong Cleary-Helm-Eaves Miller-Sutherby-Draper -Chipchura/Abdelkader Lidstrom-Seabrook Stuart-Kronwall Ericsson-Alberts If Hudler does come back, this lineup is totally messed up.But for now,im gonna assume he's not back.Trade away Brian Rafalski and sign Brent Seabrook.Let Lilja go and sign Andrew Alberts.Let Bertuzzi and Williams go.Sign Colby Armstrong,Kyle Chipchura, and Brian Sutherby to one-year deals. We should be left with a little cap space.

What a post i don't want this little ******* back in Detroit. He whines about his playing time but when Babcock put him on the 1st and 2nd lines he couldn't hack it.I have no clue why so many people are so excited about him possibly coming back.I'd rather see Kenny go out and pick up someone with a little more snarl, like what about Ryan Malone? He may be pricey but he's what we need in my opinion.I'd take Dean McAmmond orColby Armstrong over Hudler anyday as well.

This whole idea of Crosby vs. Ovechkin in the Winter Classic is such a crock of s***.Pittsburgh just played Buffalo a few years ago in the Classic.Jesus Christ, there's many more teams besides s***tsburgh in this league.Yes,Crosby vs. Ovechkin would be great, but seriously what about the other great hockey regions that haven't even been involved in a Winter Classic yet, like Minnesota,St.Louis,Montreal,Ottawa,Toronto,Vancouver,Calgary,Edmonton,Colorado,New Jersey, etc.I don't care whether NBC doesn't make profit off of Canadian teams. That's a crock of s*** too.If the Winter Classic is really about promoting the game of hockey, they will put the games wherever they would get the most exposure, regardless of the ******* profits involved. The money will come later if the game is exposed in the right place.

Red Wings GM Ken Holland hasn't given up on wandering Jiri Hudler
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
Well part of the reason he left in the first place was becuase he wanted to be the star of the team and play big line minutes, which he proved he could not handle.I don't mind 60 points from a 3rd line but the bitching and controversy over why he isn't getting enough ice time and he doen't have the puck enough is ridiculous and i dont want that around here. -
I don't want Hudler back here.Depending on how Bertuzzi plays down the stretch,he may or may not get another contract offer from Kenny. There's still a lot up in the air as far as the way the lineup may look next year, such as Maltby with his shoulder and whether Kenny re-signs some guys such as Drew Miller,Jason Williams,Brad May,Bret Lebda,Andreas Lilja, and Patrick Eaves.I've heard Rafalski trade whispers, and obviously the goaltending situation makes it even more complex, but This is what i want us to look like: Franzen-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Filppula-Zetterberg-McAmmond Cleary-Abdelkader-Miller Torres-Johnson-Eaves Draper&May Lidstrom-Seabrook Stuart-Kronwall Ericsson-Sutton Kindl

He got plenty of chances to play with Datsyuk and Zetterberg and Franzen on the top 2 last season...he should be able to put up more than 57. -
Holmstrom and Wings talking contract
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to FunkedUp's topic in General
I wouldn't mind seeing Homer back. He's still very effective and i think 1 year @ $1.5 million would be a wicked steal. -

I don't want him back in Detroit. He may be able to put up 40-50 points, but for the amount of ice time he got when he was here before,he should more like 65-80.He's not defensively responsible. He doesn't know what backcheck or forecheck means.I'd rather see Detroit go after a more well rounded player. -
Brad May clears waivers
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to crabcakes'n'redwings's topic in General
Before you go on your anti-enforcer bitching parade, get your facts straight. The 2007-2008 Wings fought 20 times en route to a Stanley Cup.And just because Detroit didn't fight 100 times in 2007-2008 doesn't mean they didnt have guys that took the other team's players off their game.Dallas Drake(not afraid to fight, but not a goon) was an effective grinder and an important piece to the lineup. So dont tell me that our Cup Championship was won simply by finesse.thats bulls***.And by the way,the whole Laraque cheapshot on Kronwall took place when Brad May was a healthy scratch.Get your s*** straight before you *****. -

Brandon Dubinsky calling Sidney Crosby a little baby
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Finnish Wing's topic in General
I've always like Dubinsky.I can see him being a legit power forward in this league some day.he's got some skill.he's not afraid to fight.i think last year he had like 10 or 11 fighting majors, not sure exactly how many.he's not very big,but neither was Theoren Fleury -
Both hits were clean.Janssen's was a little late.other than that, good, hard, clean hits.

I've been searching for news on whether Lidstrom,Holmstrom,Draper and Maltby have made any decisions about their careers?Theres been a lot of speculation that this will be Homer's last year,as well as Maltby.Anyone heard anything? And what might we be looking for come the offseason?

I think it's possible to sign Kovalchuck this off-season
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
I really dont wanna see Meech here next year.Let Lebda,Lilja,Meech,and Maltby go.assume Holmstrom retires,as well as Lidstrom Trade Rafalski.And i wouldn't mind seeing this: Franzen-Datsyuk-Kovalchuk Zetterberg-Filppula-Bertuzzi Abdelkader-Helm-Cleary May-Draper-Torres Miller Seabrook-Ericsson Kronwall-Stuart Sutton-Mitchell Janik -

i've really developed a hatred for Leino.he's worthless. -
Lidstrom,Holmstrom,Draper,Maltby
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
It looks like it could go either way,as far as Holmstrom goes. He's very effective when healthy, but the injuries are obviously becoming a problem. We need to get rid of Rafalski as well.he's nowhere near what he once was.he makes me wanna pull my hair out every single game. -
I think it's possible to sign Kovalchuck this off-season
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to a topic in General
True.If we can get Kovalchuk, there wont be much space for anyone else.Pretty much the only way we're gonna be able to pull this off is by getting Rafalski to waive his NTC to free up much needed cap space. -
Lidstrom,Holmstrom,Draper,Maltby

true. This offseason will be extremley interesting.Detroit might look a lot different come the beginning of next year. -

amen.this guy's a joke.Definitely not anywhere near as good as we've witnessed in the past. -
Leino in tonight for Eaves
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Rick Zombos Ghost's topic in General
Trade Leino.Who's with me? -
very true.that shows how much he wants the league as a whole to function without extremely soft calls,no matter what team it benefits.i really like his passion for the game.

Mickey Redmond is the best in the business. He's been commentating as long as i can remember. And i was waiting for something like that when Metallica came into the conversation!i laughed so hard.Mickey's a classic and i love listening to what he has to say, even if it is about the disadvantages of composite sticks. And you always know a complaint is coming when a penalty is called and he goes "oh boy".Mickey Redmond is hands-down the best.It will be a sad day in the hockey world when he leaves the broadcast booth.

I'd like to see him up here for at least a few games.Scratch Leino once Helm gets back and give this guy a chance.and i knew those shoulder pads looked familiar!!
