I don't understand how or why Tootoo should be bought out. He did exactly what was expected of him. Also, the "one-dimensional" argument baffles me. He put up 8 points in 42 games. For comparison, Emmerton put up 8 in 48. When I think of one-dimensional players, I think of John Scott and Jody Shelley. And the notion that "he takes stupid penalties" is laughable, considering guys like Smith and Abdelkader have, on several occasions, taken idiotic penalties at the worst possible times during games. Don't remember Tootoo blowing any games for us.

Awesome. He's grown on me a lot. Awesome on the penalty kill, pretty physical, and can put up a bit of offense. Love what he brings to the table. -
2013 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins vs. Chicago Blackhawks

I admire him for being a scrappy goalie, but I just don't like his attitude. He was a huge distraction when he was in Ottawa. I was hoping he would fight this year. -

Agreed. Marchand is one of the league's premier cheapass rats. He hides behind Boston's tough players. Chara is a joke. Just about every fight he slips and falls, and he decides to fall once the scrap starts going against him. I'm rooting for Boston because of guys like Bergeron, Thornton, Campbell, Paille, and McQuaid.I can't handle the prospect of Kane and Shaw lifting the Cup. -

I hate Letang. Spot-picking, diving, embellishing piece of sheet. -

I'm rooting for Boston too, but I hate Chara and Marchand. Can't say I hate Lucic, but he's definitely not my favorite, either. People around here will really grow to hate Marchand next year. -
Streit traded to Philly..? Buyouts?

Pass on Briere. He'll be 36 in October. 16 points in 34 games this year. He's past his prime. -
That's such an awesome picture I wanna do that one day. Just lay down with my girlfriend in the middle of the street during a riot

Bollig knows his role and plays it well. Stalberg has struggled immensely. I can't imagine Bollig getting a ton of ice time, but he'll provide the physical presence that Chicago will need to play against Boston. Bollig may not be as versatile of an enforcer as Shawn Thornton, but he's no slouch. -

Apparently Brandon Bollig skated on the 4th line during their last practice. Stalberg was the extra forward. It would be wise for Q to dress Bollig, seeing as how Boston will definitely come out banging the body. -

Go Bruins. They've got a great blend of finesse and snarl, as they have for several years, now. The team is full of guys that go the extra mile to fearlessly block shots, etc. We probably won't see Andrew Shaw and Bryan Bickell running around like they did against us. Hopefully Boston can shut down Chicago's top guys, just like they did to Pittsburgh. -
What is the likelihood that Tootoo is bought out? Wouldn't make any sense at all to me. I think Emdog goes before he does.

Lol at NBCSN sucking Crosby's dick after that Paille "hit". It's so sickening to listen to. -

Pretty sure Penner has been injured quite a bit in that timespan. Franzen has the potential to be a power forward. He decides to be a floating wuss, instead. Similar to Penner. -

That's the thing, if a guy doesn't care about possibly losing his sight, I think it should be his choice whether to wear one or not. I don't hate visors. There's no reason to. I just think the players should make the choice for themselves. -

Clarkson, Clowe, and Horton are the guys we should be targeting. Clarkson being the #1 option. -Mason Raymond provides a lot of speed, but he's soft as butter and can't win any puck battles along the boards. Pass. -Michael Ryder would be an interesting acquisition. He doesn't seem to stick with many teams for long, though, which is a concern. I'm on the fence with Ryder. -I hate Ribeiro. He provides an offensive threat, but I question how much longer he'll be able to put up numbers. Diving piece of sheet. Pass. -Guys like Iginla and Morrow would've been nice to have as top 6 forwards like 5 years ago, but they're both past their prime. I'd take either for the 3rd line, though. -Pascal Dupuis is putting up the numbers he is because of his linemates in Pittsburgh. Also starting to age. Pass. -Dustin Penner had the potential to be a power forward, but he's just not aggressive enough. On top of that, he's got the reputation for laziness. We don't need another Franzen. Pass. -Bryan Bickell is an interesting option. Still young. Plays a relatively physical style. Seems to be picking up the offensive side of his game. Fake tough guy, but I wouldn't be opposed to him here. -

Boston did a good job of shutting Crysby and Shrek down. I wish Chara would've cross-checked Crosby in the face after he went after their goalie. And I hate Chara. -
Did you watch the playoffs? There's no doubt he's slowing down and his role needs to be reduced, but its hard to deny that he elevates his game in the postseason.

-Compliance buyout Samuelsson -Buyout Bertuzzi -Re-sign Nyquist, Brunner, Smith, Kindl, and Andersson. -I think its unrealistic to predict Cleary leaving, so re-sign him and reduce his role. Can't deny that the guy amps up his game in the postseason. -Re-sign Drew Miller. Valuable on the PK and contributes offensively. If he decides to leave, there are plenty of other options available. Eric Nystrom, Kyle Chipchura, Brandon Yip, Colton Orr, and Patrick Bordeleau come to mind. -Let Filppula walk. -Let White walk. -Bring Tatar up -Sign a guy with some size and snarl for the top 6. David Clarkson would he the ideal target, but we all know he's gonna get overpaid. Ryane Clowe had a bad start to the year with San Jose, but picked up his game once he arrived in New York. Nathan Horton is another I'd target. -Pray Helm is healthy. -See if there are any teams that would take Emmerton. Franzen-Datsyuk-Zetterberg Tatar-Nyquist-Clarkson Abdelkader-Helm-Brunner Miller-Andersson-Tootoo Cleary/Eaves Kronwall-Ericsson Kindl-Dekeyser Smith-Colaiacovo
