gdt 10/24 GDT : Red Wings 2 at Ducks 1
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
I know. Hopefully, if he is scratched, we continue to prove that we can stick up for ourselves without him in the lineup. Yeah, several of his fights this year have come right off the draw very early in the 1st period. It sends a message and sets a tempo, but I'd rather see things develop from within the context of the game. I just don't think he deserves to be scratched over guys like Emmerton. Emmerton has proven himself to be a defensive liability at times, also. -
Brenden Morrow Traded to Penguins
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Crashnburnluder's topic in General
Morrow has been one of my favorites for a long time. He's starting to age, and injuries have been a problem for a few years, but he still busts his ass every game. Sucks that he has to go a team like Pittsburgh. Good pickup for the Penguins if he can stay healthy. -

Is that useless plug Jordin Tootoo gonna be scratched again tonight? I sure hope so. Especially against a soft team like Anaheim. -
It is no secret that Stu Bickel wasn't Torts' favorite player. From what I saw of Bickel, he played his role well. He didn't try to do too much, and he can play forward and defense. I don't get why he was constantly a healthy scratch. Shame that he got waived. Also, Arron Asham was supposed to replace Brandon Prust, but he's been injured for most of the season. I agree that they need to get a little more difficult to play against. I don't understand why they waived Bickel, a guy that does exactly that: Makes the Rangers a little harder to play against. I think Torts could be in the hot seat. He's got a lot of talent to work with, but for some reason, things aren't going well.

NHL penalties/suspensions for hits getting out of hand.
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to jollymania's topic in General
What an absolute joke. That's a 2 minute minor at the very most, if you wanna call that hit late. He was cut because of his visor. This league is really turning into a joke. -
I agree with those that believe calling the dive only would deter it. There's literally been no discussion by the league on embellishment and blatant diving. Perron should be suspended or fined.

Where does he fit in with New Jersey? Extra forward?

How good are the Blue Jackets?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to Wings4Life19's topic in General
2 goals from Nick Foligno tonight. Goals from Jared Boll and Colton Gillies. Anisimov got a much needed goal. He has struggled this year. Bobrovsky made 24 saves. Brandon Dubinsky is reportedly out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury. Hopefully he won't be out long. Doesn't sound particularly good, though. Anyhow, Columbus continues to roll. -

I'm pretty sure my neighbor's puppy could kick Bobby Ryan's ass. Smith should've eaten him alive. Also, the f ucking visors need to come off, especially when you square up like they did. Pansies. -

In case you hadn't heard, Tootoo and Kent Huskins engaged in a threesome with Babcock's wife last night.Apparently Huskins has been going at it with her for a while, because he hasn't played since 'Nam. -

Or Huskins.Oh wait..... -
Stafford would cost quite a bit. Pass. I'd like Regehr, but he's one of few Buffalo defensemen playing solid. On top of that, Darcy recently traded T.J. Brennan to Florida and Alexander Sulzer will be out the remainder of the year. I can't see any more defensemen leaving town.

Isn't his salary like double Ericsson's? I can't imagine anybody picks him up with his cap hit. -

18 points in 28 games. Still respectable, considering he is 42. Hope he can play at a high level for years to come. -

Another win. Letestu scored again. 32 saves by Bobrovsky. -
Good. The fake tough guy can stay out in the west, where we only have to see him once a year beginning next year.
