I'd be pumped, regardless of which guy we acquired. Moen is a little younger, though. I'd like to be able to get Moen signed on with us for a few years if we can get our hands on him.

What happened to Zetterberg's scoring touch?

Stars' Brenden Morrow available?

My mistake. Dallas won in 1999. Morrow's rookie season was the one following their championship. -

No, Dave Brown is one the list, as well. I threw a few names I recognized on the list I posted. Must have skipped over one the best fighters in NHL history. -
Stars' Brenden Morrow available?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to b.shanafan14's topic in General
Morrow has been one of my favorite non-Wings for years. Guy is a real gamer. I'd be ecstatic if we got him. He's won a Cup, plays his heart out every shift, he's a leader on the ice and in the locker room, goes to the dirty areas, and adds grit to the lineup. He's scored 22 points in 41 games this season. He just turned 33, so he's got a few years left in him. Additionally, and most importantly, he's solid in the playoffs. Last time Dallas made the playoffs in '08, he scored 15 points in 18 games. Quick summary: I'd nut if we got Brenden Morrow. -
Kindl looked awful yesterday. Then again, 95% of the team did. I like Commodore over Kindl because it is pretty rare you see Commodore make glaring mistakes like we saw from Kindl yesterday. In addition, Commodore's style of play is necessary in the playoffs. He's not a fancy guy, but he's gonna stay back and block shots, clear the crease, and keep guys honest. Kindl looked pretty good in the beginning of the year, but I think Commodore has looked better lately. I have to give credit where it is due, Hudler has looked solid lately. I'd rest Holmstrom periodically, so he is ready for a playoff run, potentially his last. I know this isn't a popular opinion on here, but I think a minor trade or two at the deadline need to be made if we want to make a serious run.

2011-12 ITG Enforcers Cards

I saw him, and figured I'd list him because he's recognizable because he played not too long ago. Definitely criticized as a "Boring fighter". Wasn't the best fighter, but there is no denying he was a pure enforcer. He retired like 2 years ago with more than 100 fights at the NHL level. Zenon Konopka is another modern enforcer on the checklist. -

Okay, say we're both high in management. Pick an enforcer we should give a pro tryout from Hardcore Pawn. Regardless of whether they can skate. Which security guy? -

These days, enforcers have to be able to skate a regular shift, ma friend. -

Nope. The set includes: Dave Schultz Chris Nilan Bob Probert Joey kocur Marty McSorley Paul Holmgren Donald Brashear Craig Berube Clark Gillies Bob Nystrom Tie Domi Wade Belak Rob Ray Brad May Andrew Peters Terry O'Reilly You get my point. Guys from a lot of different eras in the NHL. Although a lot seem to be in the '80s and '90s. -

Good to see he's still hanging in there. He looked pretty bad, though. Wonder if the drugs have gotten the best of him again. It'd be sweet to meet him. -
I suppose you win this round

Jimmy bails us out again. We looked less than stellar in our own zone, especially in OT. 16 in a row at home, nonetheless As far as Zetterberg's game misconduct, I've been saying it all along, and I'll say it again, making calls based on the outcome of a play are dangerous, and this is a prime example. Zetterberg doesn't even push him, but because Nikitin violently crashes into the boards, Zetterberg must have pushed him into it. What's Zetterberg supposed to do in a situation like that, let Nikitin get the puck uncontested? Calls like this really make me question the direction the league is headed in terms of discipline. Punish the action, not the result. In this case, there was nothing whatsoever on that play that warranted any kind of penalty. Beyond a horrible call by the officials. -
It should be a player's choice to wear one or not. Hall knew the risk he was taking by warming up without one on. Every player that doesn't wear a visor knows there is a small chance he could get clipped, etc. It's the risk you take. Let the players make up their own minds, even if their decision is not popular.

Likely. I'd be surprised if he takes him up on the challenge, though. Hopefully he proves me wrong. If the game gets out of hand, its a sure thing Boll and Dorsett will be stirring things up. I've always wanted to hit a game with fellow LGWers. Enjoy the game -

Thorne was the greatest. Seemed like every shot was "DEFLECTED!!" I'll never forget his call in '98 when Drapes scored in OT over Washington in the finals: "Lapointe, centers shot..SCORES!!!! KRIS DRAPPPPPPERRRRRRRRR!!!!!! THE INCREDIBLE COMEBACK IS COMPLETE!!!" -

Cam Cole is right. The most honorable WC game would be San Jose against Vancouver, in Vancouver. Imagine the ratings a hard nosed, clean, honest game like this would gather with the likes of: Henrik & Daniel Sedin Burrows Kesler Lapierre Bieksa Ballard Weise ..Against: Thornton Pavelski Boyle Couture Mitchell This game would definitely be a carbon copy of the 'ol days. Good call, Vancouver Sun. Dips***s. -
Has it been officially announced yet? Also, how many will tix go for the alum game?
