Welcome to the boards. Bert is good for nothing else but being physical anymore. I mean, something has to be done. I'm looking right at you, Kenneth Holland. -

The Toronto announcers reactions to that are priceless. Mike Fisher trying not to bust out laughing. Hey, the kid is having a great year, and I doubt something like that will slow him down. Sure, it'll be in his head for a few days, but he'll bounce back. Promising young player, right there. -
We've already got Hudler, and you see how well that's working out.

Trying to ignore the fact that the Wings suck right now, I'm gonna bump this. Outside of Detroit blowing tonight, it was a rather badass evening around the NHL. First: Props to Thorburn for hanging in with him. Next: Again, props to Rosehill for standing in there, but McGrattan is the toughest SOB in the NHL right now. -

Zetterberg looked like s*** tonight. Hudler was invisible. Brunnstrom looked out of place every shift. Smith looked alright, I guess. Cleary, surprisingly, was one of our most noticeable players out there tonight. 9 shots on goal. Complete lack of communication on the goal near the end of the first between Howard and Kronwall, which essentially gave San Jose life after we played a decent first period. Pathetic. For a useless fighter, Brad Winchester sure did make us look bad. Caused problems on the forecheck on San Jose's third goal, and capitalized on another defensive let-down for the Sharks' 5th. Many laughed at the proposition of picking him up for cheap over the summer. Sure, it was his first goal of the year, but he gave us problems. -
Cleary and Bertuzzi, in particular, have looked god awful. I'd like to see us get younger at the deadline as well as in the offseason.

Joe Thornton is a huge *****. With that said, LGW. -
I'll actually be able to catch the full game tonight as long as I can find a stream.

I like the looks of this roster. As far as 3rd-line forwards, I like Taylor Pyatt, but there are many other bottom 6 UFA options we can consider on the event he re-signs with Phoenix or goes elsewhere: Kyle Brodziak- 27 years old, 8 points in 18 games this season. Current contract: $1.15 mil. Dan Winnik- 26 years old, 7 points in 18 games this season. Current contract: $950,000. Travis Moen- 29 years old, 8 points in 18 games this season. Current contract: $1.5 mil. Dan Carcillo- 26 years old, 7 points in 15 games this season. Current contract: $750,000. Tanner Glass- 27 years old, 9 points in 18 games this season. Current contract: $750,000. Positively shocking offensive numbers from Carcillo and Glass We definitely need to ****** one of these guys. As far as defense goes, it remains to be seen if Stuart and Lidstrom depart. The outlook on defense is up in the air right now.

You mean the Chelios that played here for 10 years, was a part of 2 Stanley Cup Championship teams, and continues to support the greater Detroit area?

Looks like Commodore will get a few more games in. I'm not looking for him to fight as much as clearing guys out of the crease and keeping him away from Howard. Although I'd like to see what he can still do in the fighting department. Bertuzzi better be playing physical and stirring things up when he gets back, because he's not good for anything else anymore. -

1 shot in almost 18 minutes of ice time tonight. I realize Kenny's loyal, but I mean how long are we gonna put up with this?
