More antics from the KHL

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffKFTr1WcDo&feature=player_profilepage Absolute joke. Disgrace to all enforcers. -
Blame the government. They're likely behind all this, like most things.

Are we sure we want to keep Stuart. If he keeps playing like he has been... Anyway, assuming this is Lidstrom's last year, I'd like to see one of the following take his place: *Shea Weber *Ryan Suter *Tim Gleason Unless Commodore really impresses, we'll go after someone else, or have Smith take his spot? X-Kronwall White-Stuart(?) Ericsson-Kindl/Smith As far as forwards go, Bertuzzi and Holmstrom could hang em up after this year, and who knows if Hudler will stay. Say we part ways with Cleary. Of course, I'd like to see Parise here. I'd rather get a younger guy than continuing with the older guys that won't be around for much longer than a year. Mursak and Nyquist could slide right into Bert and Homer's spots. Way too early to tell for sure, though. I'd like to see us snag a veteran guy for the bottom 6 that can play a regular shift. Travis Moen would be ideal. Just tossing it out there. For fun: Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Franzen Filppula-Parise-Nyquist Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves Miller-Mursak-Moen -Emmerton

If he gets back in the habit of Kronwalling opponents like he did tonight, I'll be even happier he's here to stay.
-
How about Dorsett and a pick for Hudler and Brunnstrom?
-
Oh s***!

Is Gleason's contract up this summer? He's a local MI kid. Love to have him here. We've got plenty of forwards. If Carolina would like a Jiri sidekick for Tlusty... The only thing is, where would he fit with our defense this year?

People are way too touchy. Yeah, Torres is kind of a ****** on the ice, but this is ridiculous. Dwyane Wade at Halloween last year If Torres is racist, then Wade is, too. Unbelievable. Just wow.

Well with this lineup, none of our skilled players will be getting pushed around. Nobody will go anywhere near our goaltender. 9,489 season tickets have been purchased since I took over for Mr. Holland. I've decided to keep Little Ceasars as a sponsor. You'll be assistant GM. What do you think about Arby's giving away a free order of curly fries when any Wing fights 3 times in one game?

His wife should face some heat here for giving birth, as well. What a couple of self-centered neanderthals.

Okay. Things must be shaken up: Boll-Konopka-Boulton Janssen-Dorsett-Carcillo Prust-Gillies-MacIntyre McGrattan-Orr-Parros Shelley Carkner-Scott Stoner-Engelland Erskine-Vandermeer Send Dats and Z down to Grand Rapids, while they are mentored on how to play hockey by Mitchell Callahan. Toss Hudler off the face of the earth. If GMR can secretly knock out Paul Holmgren, convince Lilja to come back to Detroit, destroy his Flyers contract, find an old copy of his Wings contract, and change the dates on it, I'll consider Lilja as a 7th defenseman, since I have taken over for Holland indefinitely while he boards a plane out of Detroit, following 194,620 death threats in the past hour. Any and all requests for trades or free agent signings can be made via PM, although they likely won't be taken seriously. I have contacted Amway, dropped their sponsorship, and the Detroit Red Wings are now being sponsored by hockeyfights.com. Welcome to a brand new era of Detroit Red Wings excellence. Sincerely, Bring Back the Bruise Bros

This loss could've been avoided if Ericsson fought someone. -

Posts like this are instrumental to keeping LGW's collective sanity in a time like this. -

Agreed. Something really needs to be done to shake this team up. I'm not calling for a blockbuster deal, yikes. I figured after 3 games, we'd get back on track, but 5 in a row signals something isn't right. -
Or at least sign Downey before we get ourselves in too deep of a hole.

This thread will get the most posts for a GDT by far so far this season. -

Wow. Horses*** call on Franzen. Horses*** calls galore all night. Questionable hit on Kronwall. Started out 5-0. We're now 5-5. The countdown begins for LGW to explode. -

John Tortorella's opinion on Joe Thornton
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to P. Marlowe's topic in General
Yeah, Torts Now that's a coach. I hope Thornton never gets his name on the Cup. I'm not sure why he's talking, the Rags beat the Sharks last night. On top of that, i didn't really see Thornton itching to fight anyone, so I'm not sure where he gets the "soft" part from. Had he really been looking to unglue his gloves from his hands, he had no excuse for not finding anyone with guys like Prust, Dubinsky, Deveaux, Boyle, and Sauer in the Rangers lineup. I hope he gets traded to the Eastern Conference somehow. Classless piece of s***. -

Head was targeted, but i think Sutton was punished for his name, much like Carcillo. -
Good to see from the young guys

Who would you pick to have back on this team?
Bring Back The Bruise Bros replied to GongShow94's topic in General
Steve Yzerman Brendan Shanahan Sergei Fedorov Darren McCarty Martin Lapointe Bob Probert Joey Kocur Aaron Downey -
I think Avery would be a pleasant surprise for us, assuming he keeps his mouth shut. As for Neil specifically, I think he'll will be in Ottawa his entire career. The fans love him, he seems to feel at home there. He's a good locker-room presence, but I know what you mean. Travis Moen is another guy I'd like here.
