Can I take this a different route and list them by order in which I hate them??? 1. Montreal: they jumped due to the "controversy" of non-French speaking personell. 2. Vancouver: Ryan Kesler is from Ohio State and can't take being Kronwalled without crying about it. 3. Calgary: because their front office thinks that placing 7th-8th in the conference is "going for it" and they hold Iggy hostage. 4. Toronto: their fanbase is going to make the Winter Classic a 50-50 distribution at the Big House. They are cult-like.... 5. Edmonton: meh, really obnoxious goal horn that they played for a solid min. every time they scored in the '06 playoffs. 6. Ottawa: Paully Mac is doing a great job. Good for them. 7. Winnepeg: blank

I'm neutral on Emmerton. He is what he is: a 4th line center. Mursak is more multi-dimensional and would be a better option, but as was said he is a winger. But I don't think it can be argued that Miller and Homer aren't bringing it 100% on every shift. Those two are always flying out there.

Let's wait to see what he looks like next year. We can't forget that he had nearly 60 assists last year and has been roughly a point per game player the last 2-3 years. He is getting a pass right now because of the play of Hudz/Bert/Fil

I tend to agree with the injuries angle. He's never been the strongest skater, but he seems to be playing pretty slow this year. Teams seem to be pretty successful forcing him to the outside (which caters to the low quality shots argument). He is turning the puck over in the offensive zone quite a bit too. Opposing players are quick to attack him and they have been effective.

As far as goal songs, I know we have a bunch, but they seem to be playing that "The Whip" song a lot now . Wish they would go back to "Get ready for this".....grew up with it; love it.

What do you guys think about this? I just saw that Boston is willing to give up a 1st round pick at the deadline. For a while now there has been talk about them being active at the deadline. Same goes for the NYR and Chicago and they currently sit atop the conference standings right now. So it looks like the best teams in the game right now are not content with where they are at; they are looking to get even better! GRANTED, we haven't had the type of cash we have now at the deadline in what seems like forever. So based on what we are seeing other teams do, would you guys be disappointed if Kenny doesn't do something somewhat significant at the deadline? This is basically the same team that has lost the last two years and a Chicago with a healthy Sharp is pretty good.

Ugh, I know I'm gonna sound like the bad guy after this so I apologize in advance. He signed a 3 year deal which means he was going to be here for 3 years. He was 29 so he had to have had a young family either not in school or early in school (although something was said about a step-daughter wanting to be close to her dad? that shouldn't factor into this kind of decision....) So kid wise, it shouldn't have been a problem moving them. Wife had a job or wanted to be close to family? Sorry, tough cookies. Your husband makes $3.5 million dollars a year. Suck it up. Make the sacrifice. If one of those reasons was why they didn't move, I dunno that just seems selfish to me. We are going to lose a solid top 4 D-man who has made his mark here, who loves this team, because his family won't move here. That really SUCKS! Again, I may not have this right (at all), and I apologize again for sounding insensitive, but this sucks......

For a fanbase that screamed "OZZ-IE OZZ-IE" about a billion times, I'm surprised this chant hasn't really surfaced yet. I've heard the "JIMMY HOWARD" chants, but that has too many syllables.

Although his skill is undeniable, that contract (as was stated above) is just way too messy. It has future problems written all over it....

I guess for me it would be the kind of deal in place. Say for example we don't make a move: that means we would have had ~$6 million that we didn't use for this season meaning that we would have been in the same situation if we didn't have that space (i.e. we had $6 mil to spend and we just sat on it). $6 mil is great for a rental player; at the end of the season that $6 mil will be right back in our hands again. Of course it would depend on what we give up as to whether or not it would be worth it. "Experts" believe that we have one of the deepest farm clubs in the league, so i think that could give us some leeway into dishing out picks and/or prospects.

My hope would be Smith. Commie doesn't bring much of anything to the table and Kindl is just blah.
