OHHHH MAN! I can't wait until we are full strength again! Speaking of come backs, does anyone know the status of Lilja? I don't hear much about him anymore. Good post - it's good to hold on to hope!

Someone needs to find the Red Wing Voodoo doll

This is killing me! Every time a Wing gets hit, I cringe and think to myself, “Another F%K!*G injury!?†It makes me wonder about their conditioning and training regimen. Is this a result of the Wings slacking at practice? -
What am i invisible or something? Solution = hockeystreams.com

I would love to see what Helmer could do on a line with Dats! I like watching that dude (Helmer) skate; he has a level of intensity about him, which I think is defiantly missing from line 1
-
I see 2 problems with the 1st line. 1)Dats isn’t shooting, he is passing to Bert (which leads to the 2nd problem) 2)Bert is trying to play at a level he isn’t…and it’s just not working out. Bert needs to get back to basics and put the puck on net… for Homer to redirect if nothing else. Dats needs to shoot more and pass to Bert less.

It was a BS call, no doubt about it! The ref knows it, the war room knows and we all know it. If “intent to blow†is used, you should have to show on a replay and explain when exactly you “intended†to blow and why? This was never explained and most likely never will be – hence conspiracy theories on LGW. IMO – there should be a reasonable amount of time attached to that rule. Like, 1-2 full seconds. If you cannot make the decision in your brain and commit execution of an action (Putting the whistle in your mouth) within 2 full seconds then you should most defiantly NOT be a zebra for the NHL.

Guys, check out hockeystreams.com. I learned about this stream site from other LGW’ers and I signed up! I too am a loyal wings fan from a far away land (Chicago) , I could only get the Wings when Vs would host them and of course the low quality free stream sites. What makes hoceystreams better than center ice is: #1) no blackouts, #2) Archived games #3) Playoff Games. For me the choice was simple, $100.00 for 365 days of hockey, on my schedule. They also offer a lower quality stream for less but IMO the 900Kbs streams are just fine. GO WINGS!!

Lucky for us the “goalie situation†doesn’t seem to affect Ozzie. In fact, I think he likes proving the critics wrong.

Cindi Crysbaby needs a lesson in respect! I will never forget the level of disrespect he showed toward the Wings after game 7 last season. I despise him, and want the announcers and NHL management to stop swinging from his nuts. Hopefully now they can move on! There is way more talent in the NHL besides the ****** bag twins (Crosby and Malkin). I’m glad Cleary is mad… he should be. We should have, could have, but didn’t. Now we have a new season ahead of us to take back what is ours and, if nothing else, unleash hell fury on Pittsburg! GO WINGS!!

Hello Fellow Wing-Nuts! I live in the Chicago area and I am having a problem getting a good sports package that includes FSN - Detroit. Unfortunately my cable provider doesn't even have Versus and has completely ignored my rapid emails requesting an NHL solution. I had to watch most of the playoffs on a bootleg web site, and let’s just say it multiplied the frustrations of last year’s playoffs. I have my options narrowed down between an overpriced AT&T Uverse plan and Game Center. I was wondering if anyone out there has NHL Game Center and if you could share your likes and dislikes with it? GO WINGS!!

I was recently directed to a great site for streaming live games by another LGW member and it’s a fraction of the cost of GameCenter. It’s called http://hockeystreams .com. Check it out! Getting the HD bit-rate is worth the extra few dollars. GO WINGS!!
-
Update: I watched a single archived game from http://Hockeystreams.com at the lower bit-rate HQ quality. The quality was about the same as http://www.channelsurfing.net/, which is free. A little blurry and the puck has tracers when passed. Then I watched another game at the higher bit-rate HD like quality and was completely impressed. I am definitely going with hockeystreams.com this year and not with Gamecenter, simply because they have way more to offer and for a good price. No blackouts and I get the playoff games, which are not offered with Gamecenter, not to mention it’s almost half the cost. Thank you all for your input, and telling me about hockeystreams.com. B.shanafan14, I will sign up with the link you sent me so you get credit for the referral. I am so excited about this season, and despite what the critics say about the Wings rank this year, I am prepared to be in Detroit for the Stanly Cup parade in 2010! GO WINGS!!

It’s true – I just installed Windows 7 and it rocks! (Still drinking the M$ Kool-Aid) The person below me didn’t read all the other posts.

No blackouts and I get playoff games for almost half the price? Will the video go full screen? What is the quality of the audio? This sounds great!

Wow, thanks for all the fast replies! I’m going to check out the hockeystreams.com. I really don’t mind streaming, in fact I prefer it as long as the quality is there. I use a dell projector for watching movies on a 120†screen and can hook my laptop to it. Great times! I had some issues with server side bandwidth last year on http://www.channelsurfing.net/ , it’s certainly good enough in a pinch if you take the time to search for the best stream. It is really amazing to me that the networks and NHL haven’t noticed the underground demand for people across North America looking for a good, reliable solution. You would think it would be in their best interest to get this sport on TV for people. Thanks again!
