as far as I am concerned they can continue calling pens a dynasty and crown crosby as the second coming of Christ as long as wings keep winning cups... I'd take a cup over hype anytime... btw Fedotenko had the game winning goal to clinch the cup for the Lightning a few years ago

I couldn't tell by the angle, but it looked like fedotenko pulled datsyuk down. or did he just slipped after the puck got take away from him? not that any of that excuses otherwise complete defensive breakdown by wings. The only thing I could say is that multiple time different wing players through out the game missed the puck while trying to get it out of their own zone. Not sure if its just poor play or poor ice. IN any case crazy game, better wings lose one like that now, so they don't get too comfortable come play off time...

I think I may have watched 5 minutes of ESPN this whole year... who cares? For a hockey players it more important to win something actually hockey fan related

at this point of time, you really can't get much more of a qualified opinion on hockey than Scottie's. To win 4 in a row these days is almost impossible even to repeat...

maybe it helps market the team? Fedorov is known outside of hockey world at this point as well... Pretty pricey though...

yea, but these russian owners dont' care about making money on the teams, they make money off natural resources and other stuff... Its like toys for big boys:) Don't be suprised when a North American franchise gets bought by a Russian businessman. Abramovich has been trying to buy a franchise for a while... tucker can score at the right moment, but he has serious history of goonery. I have seen him go after star players in playoffs... he has been suspended for that crap before too... As tough as Downey or Mcarty are, they are not goons... no place for goonery in the wings uniform I would hope.

I have to say that as great as it was watching the wings walk away with so many throphies, the awards ceremony was ultra lame lol... It was sooo Canadian and so small. I mean they could have made it much bigger and more interesting at least for Canadian audience that would bring higher ratings... Bettman was just horrible as usual, zero charisma... make Hull the commissioner at least he would look presentable lol

if Lidstrom leads the team to 1 more cup, it will be a toss up. If he leads the wings to 2 more cups, it is him then hands down

good point, but I think that most people were nervous about Hasek and felt ok with Ozzie... that is what I got out of it... As far as I was concerned at the time go in with whoever is hot at the end of the playoffs and replace the goaly if needed depending on the situation, which is exactly what Babcock did.... Hasek struggled, Ozzie got the nod... Weren't you the one ranting about how much Holland sucks that we didn't get Feds back and that Kenny didn't do anything in general at the tradeline? How much do you know now lool

Babs was all class through the series, He deserves his own topic HA ... he didn't complain and focused on the team and that is why he is the winning coach!

Hey everyone I am going to go pass out and enjoy the wings championship for more days to come! Being born in former Soviet Union and living in US now, living half of my life in USSR and the rest in US and loving the Wings since Russian Five it is an awesome experience! No matter where we are from and how we grew up we all share this amazing victory just like the last time and just like 2 before that. Congrads and good night:) Lets go wings !

sometimes the coach gets overlooked, but he was like one of the last few people to raise the cup and he did do a fantastic job! Scottie left the team in the good hands

wings overcame it all that is why they are the TRUE stanle cup CHAMPS:) yea I hated Cindy before the playoff even started and I do still hate HIM:) Mario though did say wings deserved to win it:) although I have to give props to Pens for playing so well for a young team. Cindy needs to grow up to be a true leader, but the kid kept scoring. If you ask Stevie Y or Scottie hits not all about scoring...

I know we are celerbrating and should be all humble n whatnot, but guys remember how we wanted to see wings win it at Pits... and see all the pens fans all bummed out? it felt really good when wings went up 3 1... evil yes, but felt awesome:)
