Well it would be nice to see tootoo for a game if we are up 3-0 and put him out there at the end and bash the rest of his nose in. And really, I don't know how they justify the fine. The penalty should be what it is in the game. He sits down after that for the game if it's called. Pretty reasonable.

At least cbs sports is on it http://mweb.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/24532142/video-milan-lucic-slashes-danny-dekeyser-between-the-legs And puck daddy are the only major credible people on this story https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/milan-lucic-takes-the-train-to-quenneville-with-dekeyser-crotch-spear--gif-013707832.html Embarrassing if the nhl doesn't do something about this. Basically if no action is taken they're saying if it doesn't get called in the game then you're free to do whatever you want. -

Oh man, after watching the replay of that goal a few more times, it is too funny how Chara falls after the shot like he got hit by it or was just hoping he could blame his skates. Or prolly cuz at some point you can be too tall on skates. Also how many people think Barry Melrose is permanently drunk on espn and looks giant fat? -

That dirty cheap shot hook nosed little s*** lucic better get a game and a fine for that. Utterly disgusting and classless from someone who supposedly is a professional. Where is Darren Mac when you need someone put in their place. And yes, datsyuk is certainly filthy. Go Wings! -
Very clean and modern, I love it. One thing I noticed, and I might be retarded, but is there not a way to jump to individual pages in the thread in the mobile version?

2012 SCF : Los Angeles Kings vs. New Jersey Devils
plopster replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Come on, you really think those people in LA really know their hockey? Its obvious they know how to look good at the games, but they don't know much about whats going on. Just look behind the devils bench tonight. Their coach was standing in the right spot every time. -
So how do I upload a hi-res photo on here that I photoshopped with Lids?
-
Obviously I don't know the guy personally, but from the outward appearances on the ice and in public, it would seem like a classic case of spoiled rich boy who never got a beating when he was a kid and thinks he can do whatever he wants. It would have been nice if franzen had done more than rip that mouth guard out.
-
So I did a little photoshopping with that super hi-res photo of lidstrom thats on like page 4 or 5 of the thread, how do I put that on here in the same resolution?

Man, I am right there with ya brother. Long hair and all. If I am to assume your name is the year you were born, we are the same age. I can remember getting off work that evening and grabbing some dinner on the way home and turning on the little tv in the kitchen. I had to squint to make sure I wasn't seeing things but sure as s***, it was already 3-0. What a game.

I say he just always plays for the wings in the video game. I still can't believe how bad this feels. At least with Yzerman you could visibly see he was done. It wasn't a shocker and there wasn't a winter classic game coming up in detroit.
-
Yeah but its not the same. It won't look like him and he won't be unbeatable 1 on 1. Just a name and a number will be the same... I need another drink.
-
Not only that, which is still making me nauseous, but we will also be playing an EA sports NHL game without Lidstrom in it. I can't fathom it. Can I just keep him in the game?
-
That is awesome. I am not on the facebook, but are there any other contributions like this and the stairway?
-
Heres to you Lids. Lets hope your next contribution to the game will be teaching Kevin so we can have another Lids in the Motor City.

Really makes me wonder if he would have hung it up last year if Rafalski hadn't beat him to it. Man I am going to miss hearing Kenny scream Nick's name after a bomb from the blue line. All that is left of my childhood wings team is Holmstrom. I just can't believe Nick couldn't make it a legal 21 years. I wanted him to play in the Classic so bad. Seriously, this is my shocked face.
-
Just numb Totally took me by the most surprise ever. I thought for sure after seeing him posing for the winter classic pictures that he would do one last year at least. just speechless......
-
On a side note for the Caps, Semin will indeed take advantage of free agency...

What article was that in with Babs saying that? And if Franzen is taking a dig at the coaching style, what does he think the style is with ken Hitchcock behind the Blues bench? Can't say I have ever seen that guy smile. They seem to be doing fine. He just needs to step up the work ethic and stop waiting for someone else to do the work. Don't be surprised to see his ass on the third line next year if he still dons the winged wheel.

Yeah, it sounds like a trade is in order after those remarks. You want to be excited then you can go find it in Edmonton with the young guys.
-
But you do agree that it is part of the formula to win playoff hockey right? I mean it is so obvious. Look at the Bruins last year and this year. With the guys the wings have that really can score, if they balance it out with guys to wear down the opposition on the forecheck, it opens the door for your scorers. Thats why you need your 3rd and 4th line out there for a good solid shift keeping the puck in your offensive zone for a good 30-40 seconds each shift they are out there. That really takes a toll on the D.

All I know is Parise and Suter are great, but the fact remains there needs to be a grit player. Look at what the teams with grit are doing now. The Blues, the Flyers, the Yotes, the Kings, they all had the gritty guys grind it out, punish the opposition, and wear them down so the finishers could finish and take advantage of the tired players on the ice. Remember who the Wings had in 2008? Drake, McCarty and Chelios. Not only was there grit, but there was depth. And Cleary and Helm were healthy at the time as well. Same thing in 2009. The grind line was still there, even though Babcock wouldn't play McCarty. Then we also had Hossa. The fact is that grit wins the post season, while scoring and special teams wins the regular season. You have to just wear down the other team because when the series starts, everyone is motivated and on pretty equal footing. We need to get some more grit and stop with the finesse. We have that covered. Now it needs to be balanced out.

Here's a good article with some insight.Imagine having parise iginla and suter or jackman. Or parise moen and suter. Would be a great offseason http://www.windsorstar.com/sports/Wings+weigh+future+options/6500739/story.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
