dammit. I love OT playoff hockey. Too bad it is 7 hours ahead here. The only games I saw last night was the lightning blow out and fell asleep 5 minutes into the caps sleeper after they scored on lundqvist. Too bad that guy cant play for a real team. How did the Bruins score at the end, was epic or anti-climatic for a 2OT goal like the Kane goal in the Cup game winner last year?

Ken and Mick are home town announcers, but we know Mick will say a call for the wings is bogus in a heartbeat, but "he will take it." As for Ken obviously he is professional enough to be given opportunity on national broadcasts on Vs. for other teams. These guys are the biggest joke, I have never heard other teams commentators this bad. I wonder if they are this bad if the pens dont win the cup 2 years ago...

Check this out. The Dbag for the Pens says, "Well the Lightning are staying with St. Louis, Lecavlier, and Stamkos, so the Lightning aren't feeling sorry for the Penguins. That was after he said the forward hooked their goalie, when the goalie was way out of the crease interfering with the forward. These guys are horrible.

Just watched the replay of that. Powerful awesome. I really like how the commentator has to play him down saying he hadn't scored a goal since 2003. Just pissed that they came in their house and returned the favor.

I was able to listen to the game via my sling player on my ipod while working. So I didn't see much of it. How did Modano look out there? Was he hungry, physical and energetic?

I was actually under the impression that the NBA was on the decline while the NHL has been moving forward.

HAHA, I figured as much, but just the thought of that was pretty unsettling.

I have to say, for commercials, hockey is the best. The commercials about hockey are usually pretty cool. During the play, there aren't many breaks. I guess in intermission the biz gets their money's worth. But way better than football. Kick a field goal, commercial. Kickoff to the other team, commercial. Then a guys gets hurt, commercial. Theres a video replay, commercial. NBA isn't much better. Even though I don't watch that anymore unless the Pistons are beating the LA Lamers in the finals. Baseball isn't much better. Between innings, a pitcher change. After the pitcher warmup. Another pitcher change. But they don't cut away during that play that much either. And lets not get started on NASCAR....

Not to get off topic, but that's really gross. Sorry to your significant other. It had to be said. The beads are cool. Lets hope those with the necklaces you have them all the way around by the end of the finals.

thats not a representation of the hockey fans watching the playoffs at all. Come on, thats an ESPN poll. Most people who still pay attention to their polls and stats are mostly football and basketball fans. Real hockey fans know ESPN are hockey haters so they don't even bother. Look how dark blue the states are in the south east though....

yeah, im watching the game from my house in the south carolina. they just interrupted it for an update. freaking lame-o. I bet that doesn't happen in the north where people appreciate the sport. last year i missed the big game at the end of the season between the hawks and wings when the wings came back to win because of a telethon. stupid NBC
