Hate to go against the grain but the time works for me. In Kuwait 1pm eastern is 8pm here. So I can watch it when I get off work. Big highlight for me.

Yeah, I was pretty stoked when the talk began of him probably being a Wing. But he has not been near the caliber player I thought, and he really doesn't get in the dirty areas very much. He needs to understand what needs to be done to win these games with the teams getting younger, faster and more aggressive every year. i haven't really paid attention but it has been a while since he has been in a playoff game hasn't it?

Badass matt. I really enjoy the wallpapers you come up with. I also like trying to guess how you made it. So is there a smoke plug-in for photoshop? Also did you draw the lines for the "ice" and make them blur and glow and duplicate layers, or did you use another specific effect for that? Or, did you actually have a picture of the ice surface that you made blending changes to?

The replay shows that Abby was fully expecting to body check him and he pulled up at the last moment. So instead of Abby contacting the body, he gets him on the button. He may have lead with the elbow a little but you can see clearly he was just going for the check. Sometimes guys would just be better off taking the hit rather than avoid it. It can cause hits like that and knee to knee hits which we have seen. I don't know why if you know it's coming and can't miss it totally you don't just check back to lessen the collision. A lot of injuries these days are the result of guys not accepting their check the right way.

wings make a statement. take this one from the hawks. knock them out on their home ice. stars are just what the canucks need. they are a hot team at the right time of the year. that is the best scenario.

That was probably the most vicious hit I have seen since that guy in the major juniors last year just straight up laid the other guy out. And to end the debate, Chara even says he knew the stantion was coming up. He knew it was going to be a pretty severe impact. Suspension talk aside, Pacioretty probably came within a RCH of being dead on the ice. In no way is that cool. I like a good hard fought game like the next guy, but I never want to see someone with an injury to the neck, spine or head. Those injuries generally don't heal. That is another human being out there. It isn't a video game. Choices like that are permanent. There is no reason to rub him out there, it doesn't effect the play at all. That was not a check or a hit, that was a guy getting pushed or rubbed into harms way. Thats like throwing a guy to the subway tracks. He knew what would happen, though I am sure he did not want him to get hurt like that. But he made a very bad choice and should be sat down accordingly. If he is as sorry for him and wants him to be ok as he says, he will take his suspension. I just hope Pacioretty is ok and can play hockey again....
