I rather Philly be in the playoffs to beat up on whatever team they face. I don't see them getting to the Cup Finals, so if they could wear down a team or two along the way, more power to them.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he's the most awkward person on TV, because I'd say John Keating takes that cake, as well as the most cringe-inducing commentary...I've ever seen...and with the...strangeness that he has, it's something to say that is isn't, well... ...awkward, all the time. I'm just glad we managed to sneak into the playoffs. Congrats to the Hawks though, it's kind of refreshing being the underdog for once because instead of being spoiled and expecting greatness each year, we're the ones that get to fight for ground in the playoffs, which IMO, makes each game that much more exciting.

Only if we can gain solid compensation in a trade. Which I don't see happening.

It's honestly getting more annoying coming to LGW and seeing threads about people butthurt about Crosby than anything he's doing. If you recall the last time we played the Penguins, we won in convincing fashion and made Crosby look like a little punkass, yet everyone still complains about him. Give it a rest. Nothing any of you say is going to change anything.

Now, while not forgetting that this post is based solely on the regular season, which can't be compared to the Playoffs considering the Playoffs are "a totally different beast" (as read and borrowed from another thread), none of these predictions could hold up and we could see teams come in and dominate, when they were flat-out horrible against said opponents in the regular season. But that's what I love about playoff hockey. At least a little bit of a "the pieces fall into place" perspective, if anything.

Phoenix went to the playoffs in the 2001-2002 season, and the Kings have been there quite a few times, including a Stanley Cup Final appearance, losing to Montreal.

The only reason I watched the Winter Classic two years ago because it was a good rivalry game (and because of the wings, obviously), but this year I didn't even catch a glimpse of it, and that would be no different next year. I watch College Bowl games on New Year's Day.

Imagine if he scored though. It would be like that Ovechkin goal last year or whenever that was, except less graceful.
