those are a lot for good players going the other way. if atl can't sign kovy they should try an offer of that nature, but I would try to get a draft pick. Add those 3 to E. Kane, Antropov, Little, Bogo, Lethonen, Enstrom, and Peverley and they still have an above average team. But CHI losses a lot of depth.

there's no doubt kovy is the better offensive player. (Oh and Marleau has been centering his own line, if memory serves this is the first year where Joe and him have been on 1 line consistently.) But Marleau is the better defensive player, better penalty killer and more disciplined player. Plus he would cost 6-7M, instead of 10M.

I would love to see Marleau with the wings, but it's not likely. He will want a bump in pay, maybe he might take a discount for the wings but it will still be an increase in pay. Edit: more likely then kovy but still pretty unlikely.

Caps Blackhawks Sharks *Flyers they should all be up there if it goes by skill. NHL favors the Pens it's that simple, maybe by not as big a margin as we like to think, but they do favor them. -

if there is reason to be concerned, I hope they actaully sit him for 1 game, just as a precaution. Can't afford to lose another top 6 player for any lengthy duration of time. -
