Draper is one of the few Red Wings that has locker room presence. No to trading him. Plus I hope he retires as a Wing.

he is today. And will be tomorrow. But the first few years he wasn't. He took a discount and we benefited the first few years, so in the end it will even out. He is still a top Offensive D man, and I love having him on the team, regardless of the some of the defensive lapses. I'm sure Washington fans don't mind having Green screw up once in a while.

Kinda of think it's a good idea to split up dats and Z, it seems to work a bit against PITS. when Franzen returns, Zetterberg + Franzen = Win.

I'm still optimistic, every game they are in it, usually losing by 1 goal. If they play like this with Franzen(+1 week readjustment period) in the lineup then I'll get worried. this team will benefit from the Mike Fisher factor, where once he gets the teams 2nd defensive pair he does well (as long as alfie and speeza get the 1st defensive pair), if he is the main guy he doesn't. flip, helm, eaves will benefit greatly from not having to go up against the best players.
