i dont see the Penguins being a contender next season. Between the inconsistent play of Fluery and losing Gill,Scuderi and now (most likely) Gonchar their defense is going to be in shambles.

Yes the dynasty came to a end because the team (a very good one at that) was gutted. Which is basically what you want Holland to do... I guess only making the playoffs as a 5th seed after having your top players out with long term injures means its time to rebuild.

Im really starting to enjoy watching Pronger goon up games now that hes in the eastern conference. I have been looking forward to this over the summer. I was hoping the Flyers would play the Penguins this postseason just so i could watch him get under Crosbys skin and troll up the Pens fan base. lmao....instant classic

I have been watching Pronger play for many years and I feel pretty comfortable representing the majority of Red Wings fans when I say I never want to see that gap tooth piece of s*** wearing the whinged wheel.

If Philly wins i dont see how it could go to anyone other than Briere. Even with Pronger i still would rather see Philly win the cup. I wouldn't mind seeing Briere,Gagne,Timmonen and Leino get a ring. There isnt anyone on the Hawks that im like "Hey i would like to see that guy win a Championship" combined with their obnoxious fans....no thanks ill take Philly.

Did you people completely forget that 95% of the reason Holland traded Leino was to free up cap room for Franzen and Lilja who were coming back from injuries. At the time Leino was sucking balls (6 points in 42 games or something like that)and getting payed over 1 mill. So he was put on the chopping block. Besides Leino played well for us in the playoffs last year too. It will be interesting to see if he can keep this up over the regular season next year. ( He couldn't with the Wings)
