No kidding... I myself don't like Crosby but all this whining over Crosby for petty stuff is getting ridiculous. Go look and the Lidstrom All-Star captain thread. The topic has nothing to due with Crosby yet half the thread is nothing but pot shots at Crosby. One in every five threads on this board turns into a mosh pit of Crosby hate.

The Wings have one of the largest fan-bases in the NHL. Any Original 6 team would draw a substantial number of viewers. After all they comprise for something like 70+ percent of NHL revenue. Sad thing is they would never follow a Canadian team because they only want to market America. I would really like to see a Montreal or Detroit one.

The top 3-4 teams in the east are comparable to the top 3-4 in the west after that the west has the advantage. From top to bottom the west is a superior conference, but we are really starting to see the salary cap level the playing field.
