According to wht Kenny Holland told MLive earlier this evening, we have about $8 mil. Kenny wants to sign another defenseman, another forward and Hasek.

I just read two different articles about the possibility of Kozlov suiting up next season as a Wiing again. I don't know why, but this suprised me. What does everyone think of this????? He would replace Lang. ARTICLE #1 ARTICLE #2 WINGS IN 2008! GO WINGS!!!!
-
I'd kind of like to see him on a line with Datsyuk or Filpula (can't spell his nae, let alone say it the right way.) From what I remember, he faded badly at the end of his run with the Wings, but during playoffs, I think he would be a good addition to the 2nd or 3rd line, but he's small. Will he get run over by the lbig gritty guys????
-
Unfortunately, because the Wings decided it was time to.
-
It's not a matter of there being one period left to play. With the way the Wings have played tonight, they don't deserve a win. It's really sad and depressing. I'm not ready to say how great or terrible a season the Wings had yet. I know it's over and it totally sucks!!
-
Hasek obviously had an 'off' night. Well, it's no wonder, all the traveling they've done in thee last how many weeks? Maybe you sould watch the replay of the game again, there were a few bounces that Hasek had no cance on. Not his fault. It's okay to not like Hasek, but right now, he is our number one goalie, and for the entire playoffs, so far, he has played like it. This is hockey. Bounces go one way or the other. Luck plays a lot into it too. But no worries, though, because Hasek's worth ethic and competitiveness will make up for one game that wasn't great for him. He's human and can't be perfect all the time!!! GO WINGS!!!!
-
Agreed, definitely. Great point about Hasek, too! I kept saying last night during the game that the Ducks sure looked a lot better playing wise than they have been. There really weren't any goons on the ice lasst night. It was good to see. Pronger is a jerk, always has been, always will be. It will be interesting to see how they paly with him back in their lineup. In either case, though, I, too, am not concerned anymore. I said from the beginning of this series that it would be Wings in 7, but they may take it in 6. Either way, Wings win!!!!!
-
Okay, I hate to even ask this because some people will think I'm giving up, but I am questioning whether or not the Wings CAN win this series. I know they have played hard and strong and come back thrughout this entire playoff season, but with the travel and amount of games they've already played, do you really think they have enough gas left in the tank to pull this off? Like I said before, I pray the Hockeygods are with the Wings!!!! Hey, just a thought -- we need the voodoo doll to finish off this series......... VOODOO DOLL Hey, you never know!!!! GO WINGS!!!!
-
Agreed, but since I am a Wings fan I want them to win this series. Being selfish, I don't care if they're even or not, I just want the Wings to put them away and move forward. I hope the Hockeygods are listening. GO WINGS!!!!!

What time is the hearing today? I am at work and can not go to TSN from work, so I can't read the article. Thanks!!

Interesting article from MLive from this afternoon on this exact subject: link I hope the Wings stop making excuses and go out there and play like we all know they can. To me, they sound like they're beaten already......
-
And also remember 2002 playoffs, we were down 0-2 against Vancouver and went on to win the cup. No worries! GO WINDS!
-
TOTALLY AGREED!!! COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER!!!
-
I can't disagree that the Wings have not played their "A" game yet. I think they need time to adjust to the style of play that the Ducks are bringing. Last night's game was so close that it was anybody's game. No matter how down the Wings ever got in the score through the entire playoffs thie year, they always fought back and won. I'm sure the will step up in Game 3! GO WINGS!!!!!
-
Look's like he's probably out for Game 5. Tsn is reporting........LINK
-
Yep, agreed. Now the series is 2-1 in the Sharks favor. Usually I would say there is still a lot of hockey to be played yet, so don't panic. But, this series, the Sharks, are physically dominating every angle all over the ice. Now that they know how to frustrate the Wings and make 'em look like they're standing still, guaranteed they will continue to do that. Unless the Wings can figure out how to play a full 60 minutes and grind it out, this series is over. It's one thing to be down 2-1 against a team that doesn't have huge monsters on their ice, but playing against these guys is debilitating, unless the Wings can figure out a way to control the game over a full 60 minutes. I'm glad they made it to the second round, but I think unless they can win Game 4 and get home ice advantage back, then it's over.

Can you imagine if it was a Wings player hitting a Flames player with the butt end of his stick? OMG, the earth would explode!!!!! The refs would have been all over it and the guy would have served some kind of suspension. Since it was a Wings player who got butt ended, nothing will happen. Inginla will play tomorrow. The only suspension will be McClennan (sp). It seems as though the entire league has it in for the Wings, during the season and throughout playoffs, always been that way. Besides that, the total UNCLASSINESS of Calgary is total crap, and I hope the Wings take it to them on THEIR ICE tomorrow night. IMO, there should be 3 suspensions, McClennan (sp), Inginla and Langkow. GO WINGS.

I went to Game 1 and was excited and confident after the game. But today, I'm getting nervous all over again because I stupidly read Calgary newspapers and what they expect to bring to Game 2. It's not that I don't have faith in the Wings, it's just that I don't know how well the Wings will hang on to a lot of hitting and good keep-away play. Thoughts anyone?????
-
I agree, but if it aint broke don't fix it. I wonder if Regher will be playiing???????
-
I don't think you're expecting too much. Before the series began, I thought the Wings would win in 7 games. After seeing them in Game 1, I'm thinking that if they can win tomorrow and split in Calgary, then they come back home and put the series away in Game 5. To me, that's a far cry from going to a game 7 in the first round. From what I read in the Calgary newpapers, the team is making a big mistake by thinking that what the Wings brought in Game 1 is all they have. That sentiment will be their downfall. GO WINGS!!!!

Even though Steve is not skating with the guys anymore, his presence is still felt within them. I was at last night's game and I looked behind me up into the boxes (suites) and there he was, watching the game. He had such an intense look on his face. It felt almost as a spiritual thing, Steve Yzerman's presence hovering over the arena and onto the ice with the guys! It was amazing!!!!!
