Marty Barry replied to Jedi's topic in General
Ya. After a few minutes to think about it, I think I just wanted to believe it so bad that I posted it. I'm sorry if I got anybody's hopes up falsely. But mine got up too. -

What if after a game video is reviewed and a diving incident that was not called in the game was enforced at the beginning of the team's next game. The team's next game would start with a pk. Not fair? Out in left field? What?

This feels like the NHL Draft or the very beginning of FA to me. Kind of exciting. But not game 7 exciting. -

Man, I want to punish both sides by not even paying attention. But I know if they start tomorrow I will go back to my favorte drug......DRW hockey. In Will Ferrell's George W. Bush voice - "this stuff is haaard". -
This, plus although I am not an apologist for Yakupov, I have lived in many countries around the world and work with people from several nationalities I have to wonder about Yakupov's proficiency of the english language. On several occasions foreign nationals with a "less than normal" grasp of the english language have said a few things that have riled some feathers with their american counterparts and not meant to. Maybe it's not what he meant at all, maybe...oh f*** it nuke the commie bastard!

This is just tasteless and awful on the part of Santa. He should know how gentle and sensitive the Toronto fanbase is.

Cold! Just cold! I love it!!!

I'm seeing tweets mentioning that Nick Kypreos is hearing rumors of coaches contacting players, advising them to be ready for a December 14th training camp date. This just in - KHL to NHL: "Now wait just a @#$damned minute Rondell!"

So, if the lockout ends the entire season how do they market next year's video games? Won't they have to be the same as this year's? No new NHL stats. What about a cover? I don't remember what they did the last time.

My opinion of Kenny has not changed at all. I think he played this past offseason very well. Willing to throw most of the bank at a few FA's while respecting his line in the sand moneywise. I think it played out ok. Now, these players who played the greed card are worried about getting all of the money thrown at them. Maybe he'll get a second chance at them. What if the owners get their way and don't have honor the promises they made but the players can opt out and hit FA again? Sounds fair to me. Pipedream, I know. I still have a lot of faith in Kenny and he has enough bank with me for that to last a while.

That makes 2 deadline pickups for kenny. Good job Kenny.

Although I tend to lean towards the side of the players, Suter is mad because he was outgreeded by the owners. He went for the once in a lifetime outrageous payday and now he has learned a painful lesson in corporate economics. If it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. The Wild ownership among others knew that if they got their way with the CBA that they wouldn't have to honor these stupid contracts all the way. Nobody to root for regarding these contracts.

In Russia North America likes you. Seriously, I believe it's just posturing on the part of our Russian players. They are using whatever leverage they believe they have to take a jab at the NHL (Buttman).
