I'm tired of hearing "core group". Ever since the cap, we've held on to this no matter what. Time to not sit pat just signing our own UFA's. Get some chlorine in the gene pool. We excel at scouting talent deep in the draft, but I'm not very impressed with our deadline or UFA pickups since the cap. I remember hating the bloos so much during the chris schlonger years but I've always been a Hitchcock fan. Living in Columbus now, I wan't Hitch to win every game except when playing the Wings. This organization down here has no idea whatsoever how to run a team. Go Hitch, show these morons what douchebags they are.

I say a low cost 1 year 2 way contract. He can play the Classic, a thank you from management. Call him up when needed, and with less wear and tear at the NHL level he may turn out to be a very nice "surprise" for opposing goalies in the playoffs. We Love You Homer!!!

Well, we were not outclassed, but we were outplayed. Outskated, out quality shotted (lol), and just outhustled. Time for a retool and I really believe that next season and all the money we will have was the real goal this season. Why else would we stand pat at the deadline with all that money we had? I'm not ready to hang Holland and staff after thinking about it. We should have a ton of money now to secure a powerful future for Red Wing hockey.
