I would be happy with this proposal yet I think it is unrealistic. If you were the GM and said take it or leave with these salaries, you would have to hire Hitchcock to piss off all the young hot prospects we have and run them out of town. Then we could start another 42 years of no Cup.

When we signed Pasha, and Mule, and Z to long term contracts along with Lids, Raffi, Stewi, Homer, etc. I didn't think that losing Hossa, Sami, etc. would be such a big deal. Then, all the injuries. But when everybody came back I thought for sure after a couple games of re-gelling all would be ok. It's not! Are we really missing those lost goals? Is it a lack of heart? Coaching? I hate to think that s***sburgh took all the wind out of our sails last year. WTF is going on?!?!?!?

You know what? I have been pissed off since the 2nd Iginla goal. Your post just made me remember that even when Stevie was here, we had some 1st round exits. I don't include the times we didn't make the playoffs with him because he was still in leadership training under Yoda,er, Scotty. If Stevie and Scotty couldn't pull everybody's heads out of their asses every season, I can't expect it out of Babcock and Lids.

But damn. Such a big deal was made when they came from behind in the playoffs. When they got the Colorado monkey off their backs. All the different types of "adversity" they overcame. This is just frustrating to me.
