I gotta say I was surprised that his "shift" got so much attention. He couldn't break away from Spezza and almost lost the puck, but Letang was able to make a nice shot in so Crosby gets heralded as such a great player. Same with the "saving the goal." The puck was stopped. Not a huge deal. That said, he had a pretty damn good game and this thread is ridiculously stupid. So Crosby pushed a guy. Big freaking deal.

It's funny how people just noticed this when he acted the same way in game 1. However because it was a winning effort he was heralded as a player with such emotion.

It's been two games. Two games where the Wings have been forced to adapt their game based on lack of home ice and a team that is basically competing on adrenaline. Babcock isn't going to panic with line changes. He will juggle them around, but he isn't going to panic just because Franzen hasn't been dominant yet (especially since they scored 7 goals tonight).

So make it harder for Franzen to be a force out there until he can be a force out there? Skilled players go on the top line. Cleary is not one of those players.

Okay? The Wings can't throw whatever money they want at a player. Hudler isn't going to simply rush his decision based on the fact the Wings want to sign someone else, and the fact is the Wings didn't have the money to sign him. End of story.

The 09 Ducks didn't take the series to seven because they played too physical. No team beats Detroit just because they are physical (that sure as hell isn't why they won last night). That has always been a myth. They took the series to seven because they had a dominant first line and a defensive core that was able to keep Detroit's forwards to the outside and basically pad Hiller's stats with perimeter shots.

He was a standard Red Wing goaltender in game 1. Didn't really make or break the game. As long as he doesn't play as bad as Legace did I will consider his run a success. So far so good.
