Eva, thank you for bringing up the fact Stuart tried to block the puck. What in the hell was Stuart thinking on that play? If you can't get your entire body in front of the puck for a shot block, don't try to stick something out to knock it away. Not only does it block and distract Howard but there is a good chance you are going to tip the puck where Howard isn't expecting the shot to go. That's ******* defense 101 right there. Also, Mindfly and Electrophile have the same number of posts. Had to screencap that.

Adbelkader should take William's spot. The "I can't have two defensemen on my PP" crap is over. Samuelsson wasn't any good at it, and Williams is even worse. Besides, my bigger worry is the penalty kill. Kronwall was terrible and the team in general just didn't play a solid defensive game when down a man. They just forgot their assignments and gave the Coyotes way too much space.

Just like the Ducks in 09, right? It amazes me that people still act like the team is filled with Euro *******. Those "*******" dominated the first period while the Coyotes were running around with their heads cut off. You kill the last two penalties and this game isn't even close.

You can't use +/- by itself. Ovechkin is an offensive machine. He plays on an offensive machine (one that doesn't need his offense to win games) and that offensive machine pads the +/-. Crosby is not only NOT on an offensive machine, but on a defensively sub-par one as well. His only decent forward was MIA for most of the season so it gave the opposition an easy time just focusing on him. Crosby has a great all-around game. It is debatable how "great" it is, but he plays two-way hockey much better than a lot of Centers do.

News flash: Ovechkin plays on the best offensive team in the NHL. No s*** his +/- is going to be better. Also, a center is going to have to play more defense than a wing. That's just how it is.

You don't think the Yotes fed off the crowd and the Wings panicked with the pace of the game? Not at all?

If Detroit plays like they did in the first there won't be much of a series for the Yotes. They let up off the gas, let the Yotes come back in the game and just lost their composure to an intense crowd.

The good news is there are no minus players on the Wings roster.

I'm sure it was. New rule: Goaltenders should not be able to stop straight shots from 40 feet out without any screening. I like your thinking.

Just admit that Jimmy had ONE soft goal against. The PK has been awful, but a straight on shot should be stopped. It was a bad goal to give up, especially so early in the 3rd.
