3-0 Vancouver after the 1st. GMR: Not sure if serious.
-
Canucks are just laying siege to Calgary right now. Kipper is the only reason it is 2-0. UPDATE: Nucks score on a 5 on 3. 3-0 5-4 powerplay for about a minute and a half.

It would be great if people focused on the content of people's posts instead of which poster is making the statement. I have a dream....

You must have missed a lot if you missed the numbers on the arms.

Probably not considering during an 82 game season everyone has slumps. I can see 35-40 goals out of him in a healthy season.
-
Never. Okay, maybe not never but he is not in the position to play a game. It is Howard or bust.
-
Don Cherry's very honest comments on the hit. Gotta say I loved hearing it from Don.

Well the thing is he would do much better staying with the Wolves (his point totals weren't too shabby during his time there), keep playing hockey competitively, help out young prospects mature, AND be able to spend more time with his sons. I'm not trying to label him as a horrible guy, just that I don't really understand the change except simply to play in the NHL again. (yes I am aware I gave him props before but I just thought of this situation)
-
Does anyone think that he is being a little selfish by going back to the NHL instead of be there for his two sons in the midwest? I understand you want to play competitive hockey as long as possible, but for starters you aren't competitive in the NHL anymore and it would be responsible to focus your attention on your kids who are getting into the minors and such. I'm not a parent, so I might not have any idea what I'm talking about, but as a son it meant a lot to have a dad there for support.

Modify it. Too harsh right now, because I think that when it comes to situations like the Cooke incident, someone should have the option to at least beat the s*** out of him without getting 5, 2, 10, and a game. Perhaps just two minutes so that there won't always be a guy pounding away on an unwilling guy, but when something like Cooke/Savard occurs someone can keep him honest. I agree, I was just commenting on how the league is TRYING to get a handle on situations with such a chaotic environment. I am not saying that it works. Fair enough.

That's why we have Osgood. And I don't derail the threads, and haven't been responding to every negative post. Hooray.

I believe it is "possible" as well. The one problem is no matter how much you try to control the game but still allow the players to police themselves to a certain degree, every so often (McCarty, McSorely, Simon, Bertuzzi) there is going to be a player who does something stupid, risks a serious injury, and puts the league in a bad spot. From a business standpoint they want to make that risk as little as possible (hence the instigator). Now I am not talking about whether that is working or not, just that from their perspective it made some sense.
-
And the Bertuzzi/Moore incident is probably the key reason why the league does not want the players to police themselves in situations like this. Considering the GMs know more about the sport than I do I trust they are making the right call when it comes to the instigator (though I wish there wasn't as harsh a penalty involved).

Perhaps Bertuzzi will take one for the NHL in Detroit when the Pens come to play?
-
That's why we have Osgood.
-
And people laugh when I say the Pens are underrated on these boards...
-
That's south OF Detroit. You don't consider eastern US as the Atlantic ocean, do you?
-
The next game against Calgary will most likely prove if the Wings will be able to make the playoffs. If they blow a lead like they did last time, they won't have the tenacity to finish off the season in a playoff spot.
-
Lilja is too epic for banners. They are going to erect a statue in is honor.
-
How can the southern region of Detroit not exist?
-
And like I said, the safety is secondary to the fact that KICKING THE PUCK IN THE NET IS NOT THE GOAL OF HOCKEY.
-
To be a capable backup? Of course.

What If Everybody in Canada Flushed At Once?
Doc Holliday replied to hillbillywingsfan's topic in General
Doesn't surprise me. When the television was first becoming popular, the sewer lines busted because people were all going to the bathroom at the same time. -
Read your post.

Why are you giving the Flames goalie a shoutout?
