You all have it wrong: "MICHAEL!!!!" -
Yeah lets just completely throw him away for some goaltender with no playoff experience simply because he is the "hot goalie" right now. You remember 2006, do you not?

Don't even get me started...

No, it just makes Burke a "shock-and-awe" GM, like he always has been. If it pays dividends, great. But it isn't like he is turning water to wine here.

Hello ad hom.

First thought was this:

I enjoyed the game up to the missed chance by Bert. The great thing is ever since 3 games ago the losses have desensitized me to the point where I am not affected by the Wings screwing the pooch constantly.

You got it backwards my friend...

Not my girlfriend...

I'm surprised you were able to ****** that from Bettman's cold hands. He normally hands that to Ray Shero on game days.

Where is the "easy" button when you need it? I'm so sick of pressing that damn panic button.

It was a good idea. He just missed.

It amazes me that Ovechkin's SOG is used to knock him. The guy takes a lot of shots. That provides more rebounds and more opportunities to score for the team in general. His numbers also speak for themselves. Also, he isn't going to pass Gretzky, ever.

John Tavares - Still a strong Calder Trophy Candidate?

You are also aware that the talent pool for goaltenders is less diluted than forwards, causing the competition to be higher in comparison... -
John Tavares - Still a strong Calder Trophy Candidate?

Why not look into percentiles? I would think the goaltender playing like a bonafide starter (saving the team on many occassions like a top goaltender is supposed to do) is much more impressive than a forward getting second-liner points. -
"Nuclear Eruption from Alexander Ovechkin"
Doc Holliday replied to wingsdiehard13's topic in General
He is not injury prone and is unlikely to be the victim of injuries that Lindros had simply because he is the predator 9 out of 10 times. I would consider him more of a Scott Stevens type, at least when it comes to likelihood of injury. -
"Nuclear Eruption from Alexander Ovechkin"

Considering he hasn't missed significant time yet I don't see why you would think that. -
So, basically they need to learn how to have a 6 time Norris trophy winner as a partner? Strange skill, that is.
-
Because he is washed up.

Yeah, 57 points is nothing at the NHL level.
