I don't lather rinse and repeat without discussing anything with another poster like you do. It isn't about being self righteous. It's about you not bringing anything to the discussion except "lets hear about how much I think the Wings suck. And even if you don't respond I will say it again 5 minutes later. And again. And again."
-
Howard didn't flail? Oh boy are you a strange character.

TIME FOR TAYLOR HALL!!
-
Pardon me for spitting out blood and being so high-strung.
-
Why not switch between the two? One of them is going to click eventually and so is the defense. At least we hope so.
-
Really? So you find it appropriate every page to say "Hey guys! Lets hear my regurgitated opinion on the fact the Wings don't care and are not a team that deserves the playoffs! Did you guys hear me that time? Okay! Let me say it again!" Once is enough.
-
Because nobody says that with other goaltenders. Nobody rips on Howard for doing badly or praises him immensly for doing well. That NEEEVERRR happens. You have it backwards. Osgood played well early in the season while Howard did not. Well since you are talking about having Howard continue to start NOW I would assume that NOW would be more important. Right NOW the Wings are playing terribly and the goaltenders are caught between the pipes as the rest of the team collapses around them. 3 games? Have you seen the last six games? Do you think this is just some short phase they are going to get over? RIGHT NOW they are playing bad so RIGHT NOW it makes almost no difference who they put in net. Put Howard in and see if the defense does any better. If not then put Osgood in. First time I've seen a redirected shot blamed on the goaltender. Congrats. Did Osgood not stop any odd man rushses? All you did was list assertions. I can do that to but it won't go anywhere for us to just continue doing that now will it? I could go on an on about how Howard couldn't keep a rebound in if his life depended on it but that (like a large amount of your opinions of Osgood) is a gross exaggeration of the facts. I'm sure we don't. Don't mind the fact Howard let in five goals against the Coyotes. Or is it only relevant on certain occasions?

Seriously, just write a blog if you want to talk about how much this team sucks. It is getting irritating to hear "THE END IS NIGH" every few posts with you.
-
That is normal for any goaltender for any team. It is called a "knee-jerk" reaction. I for one have not seen it once on here. Would you like me to list every game he played well? I mean it is as if you started watching in December. As of right now it doesn't matter because the team as a whole sucks so bad they can't win with either goaltender. Check the last few games and tell me that again. It isn't about the goaltending anymore. Not once. The fourth I will give you but not the first three. Once again defensive coverage. It has been screwing Detroit for the past six games and has been unbiased to either goaltender. Howard moreso because he has been playing more than Ozzie. Shut up? What are we in third grade? I'm not even talking, I'm typing. I never talked about Howard not being in there, I'm talking about how goaltending is irrelevant at the current point in time because the team is losing with both. Goaltending has not been at fault for the past 5 games at least. Only when the sarcasm is all that is being put onto the table. I bring my sarcasm WITH content.

Pretty sure nobody talks about the good and always focuses on the bad. Actually he was playing pretty good (remember the Nashville game where he magically didn't get to play after?) Out of curiousity whats the difference between "wasting" starts now and "wasting" starts when we are in the playoffs? Last time I checked neither are doing that. What are the "Osgood" apologists saying? That Howard sucks and Osgood should get a bunch of starts? That Osgood should be played perfectly evenly no matter what? Really? Cause Detroit only scored two goals tonight and the first three were definitely not on Osgood. Everyone talks about how a big save could swing momentum (which he had a good share of tonight) but nobody gets on the offense for not scoring a big goal first to change the momentum. Hellooo? All bologna and you know it. Really? Cause last time I checked the D was the reason Howard has lost the past few games. Hmmm, that seems pretty consistent if you ask me. But what do I know? I'm just an Osgood apologist who wants Osgood to play every game cause I just love him oh so much.
-
Btw I'm not here to say that Howard has been playing bad. I'm here to say that the defense needs to focus because this is getting ridiculous. The offense needs to be consistent. The coaching needs to COACH. The goaltending is but a minor blip in this entire big clusterf*** of bad.
-
Howard has lost 4 of his last 5 if I'm not mistaken. How is Detroit better off with Howard in net if they can't win with him in net? Riddle me that please.
-
I'm glad I stopped watching after the first. The Wings are just making me depressed right now and it isn't even entertaining watching them score anymore. Does this surprise me? Nope.
-
Yeah, because you haven't shown multiple times any hatred for Chris Osgood.
-
They way Babcock has been running things, would it surprise you to see Howard play another back to back? That said, Howard needs some rest because he is getting absolutely hung out to dry by his defense. If they hadn't choked Howard would have been considered one of the big reasons for the Wings winning. But alas, they did choke.
-
Did anyone notice the missed offsides call with like 2 minutes to go in the game?
-
I am telling you guys right now I will no longer watch a Wings game until they stop ******* up games like this. Seriously. I'm done.
-
No way someone should blame Howard on that. If they get the puck out on that play, it doesn't happen.
-
I think my brain just exploded.
-
Wings fans sure love to talk about goaltending...

Warning, the video is not for the faint of heart. "Tonight, during a game between the Quebec Remparts and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Devils prospect Patrice Cormier elbowed Quebec's Mikael Tam, in the face while he wasn't looking. Tam hit the ice face first and lost a lot of blood. He convulsed for at least 2 minutes. They feared for a traumatic brain injury but reports say it's a severe concussion." "He's feeling well given the circumstances. He has a traumatic brain injury, he almost died tonight. Several scans were made to make sure he didn't have anything major to his brain. Good news is that he's got no oedema (accumulation of water in his brain). The shock was so big that the diagnostic places him between a severe concussion and a brain death. He'll stay under observation at the Rouyn Noranda hospital for 48 hours. He has no fractures but his mouth is not looking good and he lost some teeths. He has to pass some other tests tomorrow, for his pelvis and his back. Mikael is conscious. He spoke with his family. He's in good hands at the hospital. Continue to pray for him, he needs it." http://www.quebec800.com/blogs/view/32 What a terrible play on Cormier's part. Absolutely terrible.

As of right now, the Detroit Red Wings.
-
You haven't seen the last four games. Detroit has played like this (and given up the lead) in all of those games. This isn't simply a knee-jerk reaction. Detroit is playing terribly and letting the opposition take the game for themselves.
-
He didn't play like he deserves 12 starts in a row, either.
