We Should Have Gooned it Up These Last Two Games
Doc Holliday replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Once again, the brawl happened during the 1st period and ended up winning that game on the scoreboard. If Detroit loses that game they end up getting swept in the season series and probably don't win the cup that year. -
Fans pay the money, so they can do what they want. Such as pounding on the glass, throwing objects at the opposing teams' coaches, and standing up in front of the camera during play. Doesn't mean they aren't douchebags for it. Hossa got job security and more money with signing for the Hawks. He came here to win the cup, and since his best shot failed he went for tenure. Nothing to be mad at him for. I hope he finds success wherever he goes even if that means if that happens in Chicago.

Detroit won that game. -
You could post something constructive. Or better yet, not show up in the GDT at all.

Payton didn't have a knee injury like Yzerman did, and didn't play with said knee injury to the point where he had to go through 6 months of rehab for it. And when I said "I've seen better" I was talking about Payton's game with the stomach flu. Also regarding Yzerman's injuries and conditioning: http://www.answers.com/topic/steve-yzerman-1

My main point was I thought Yzerman's struggles through the long span of 23 games was more significant than Payton's struggles through a single game.
-
I would consider the conditioning regimen for football to be much different than that of hockey. But we aren't talking about conditioning. We are talking about durability. The whole "do what it takes to win" mentality, no? Payton played a great game with the stomach flu. Yzerman had a great series with an injured knee. Personally I would consider Yzerman's durability over 23 games while playing with his injuried knee to be better than Payton's record-setting game with the stomach flu. Agree to disagree, but I have merit for my opinion.

I don't think it matters since Luongo doesn't play for the Wings. Osgood has a cup in this decade and Luongo doesn't have a single Western Conference appearance to his name. Hasek you have an argument for, but not Luongo.

That isn't true at all. You can be contagious for up to 7 days after you begin to show symptoms.

Chicago chants "Detroit Sucks" when Hawks play other teams?

You have a strange opinion on fan etiquette. -
How exactly am I stalking you when it isn't hard to understand your posting style based on your "gritty enforcer is win" mentality? Also:

Yeah how dare fans get into a one goal game. Don't they know it doesn't matter? -
You forgot the part where you talk about how much more of a hard worker and better fighter Newbury is.
-
You are aware you can spread the flu to other people, right? Do you honestly want players getting sick with the flu simply because Rafalski can "still play"?

Him and his stacked Vancouver team sure did a hell of a lot last year.

I don't see the bitching. -
I really doubt the pads would make much difference to Marty's game. He is a standup-butterfly goaltender and most regulation "butterfly" pads would not help his mobility or his positioning. Big difference in style between Marty's and your run-of-the-mill goalie.

You don't get to look like that without severe facial injuries at some point in your career.

And the guy who was ON THE ICE said he didn't think it was dirty. Honestly, respect the hit for f***s sake. I'd probably smack some guy in the face with my stick if he tried to sucker me into a fight for a clean hit games beforehand. GMR: If you want someone to beat his ass for the sake of beating his ass then fine. I don't think there is any need for "justice" to mean old Doan who committed a legal play on another player.

Yup. At least he was right about Miller playing for the Wings full time. Though I don't see why it matters.

I bet Crosby put him up to it.
