Oh look, Ericsson looks to challenge someone instead of change or pay attention to the play.
-
Looked like the right play there. Too far out with too many bodies in front.
-
He likes to ramble on about how "clutch" Franzen is sarcastically just because he doesn't like the guy. It is best to just ignore it.
-
It would be a lot easier for people to know what you were saying if the quote you mentioned was easily recognizable.

Revenge? Marian Hossa, for choking us out of 2 cups in a row. Nothing would delight me more than to see that team fail to Detroit in dominating fashion.
-
You can't be a dirty hitter in a game where nobody can be injured.
-
Kronwall with a huge hit on Hemsky, with head contact. No penalty. Seems like hockey is doing just fine.
-
Not when every Wings player is a 99 overall. Stanley Cup here I come!
-
Good news is they got a point. Good news is St. Louis can't catch up to us with their games in hand. Bad news is we pissed away a solid 2 points in regulation in the same ******* building Legace's career ended. Fuuu. Time for some NHL 12.

Because the players are bigger, there is more awareness to head injuries, and there is a higher amount of liability in college sports. I don't think the ignorance of years past is something to speak positively about.
-
Bad calls don't spell the end of hockey as we knew it. Quit being melodramatic.
-
Good. Better to play them while they are fat and happy, rather than dejected and looking to make a statement.
-
Strange, the Kings GM benefits from a ridiculous circumstance and attempts to justify it. Didn't see that coming.
-
What do you expect them to do? Take away the point and have a do over? When can they do that with the type of schedule they have?

Vancouver Sun article on why no one hates the Wings
Doc Holliday replied to unsaddleddonald's topic in General
St. Louis, Chicago (their obsession isn't healthy), Colorado, Pittsburgh, and Columbus (making them cry in 2009 hurts) are really the only teams I can think of that have any reason to "hate" us, really. Price made a good point, even if he came off as standoffish. -
Who Could be Dealt at the Deadline?
Doc Holliday replied to Bring Back The Bruise Bros's topic in General
Do we even know the details of Ericsson's no trade clause? I was under the impression it was one of those "pick a number of teams he would accept being traded to" clauses. -
How does the potential of getting Moen (perhaps) and Morrow (yes please) turn into an enforcer/fighting thread? I think goon and pansy alike could appreciate a Brendan Morrow, or even a Travis Moen being on the Red Wings.
-
Had no idea Hudler was a heavy winger.
-
I like Morrow better.
-
At first I thought it said Brendan Morrow. I was about to flip my s***.
-
His mustache alone would have stopped at least 3 of the 6 goals.

It's so bad but I can't stop watching. -
Apparently Babcock advocated getting May here when he was "trying out" for Detroit. Honestly, I think Babcock has always looked to his self image in regards to interviews, and since Detroit had such a great response over a more physical team, he answered in kind. When May was in the discussion and there were doubts about Detroit's toughness, he advocated his signing.

You can talk about the game day thread, but when you get on a pedastal about refereeing in a game where your team was behind the entire third period on our own board, you are going to come off as petty. This is a Red Wings board and it is going to be biased no matter what you say. And if you have been paying attention most bitching has been during losses has been in regards to the team's play, and not marginal calls that don't directly affect the outcome of the game. You can be annoyed. Just don't expect anyone here to sympathize. You've been involved in little trash talk with us so we are going to enjoy extending our lead against you and call you out when you resort to petty discussions about penalties. Let's not forget that the Blues had opportunities to score on their own powerplays and didn't. They scored one goal off a bad line change and didn't find the back of the net for the rest of the game.

You act like this is the first time ever that a referee has missed a call during a game. It happens. Suck it up and take your lumps. Stop coming here with excuses and instigating conversations about the officiating when you acknowledge that the Wings were the better team in the match. It comes off as petty.
