It was never a question of having either/or. Having him as a backup or 1B goaltender would have been huge. And behind a Detroit system that doesn't have its own head up its ass I think he would do very well. In fact, that would probably be the best goaltending duo in the league, perhaps behind Thomas/Rask. Either way, it is great to see Howard do so well. Really crazy how people argued that this guy would never make it as a consistent NHL backup, let alone a bona fide starter.

Still, it gets cheapened for me when they do it after every game, with a stick that I think has some sort of advertisement on it. It's like those bobble-heads they give away with the Amway or Ram logo on it. What a crock.

Honestly, I don't find it cool. They have hundreds of sticks available to them for use during the game. Just give them one of those, instead of some cheap piece of crap that is only interesting because they put their signature on it.

Why do people still care about those points? People are going to like your posts and dislike your posts for many reasons. When it comes to physicality, it's going to be a divided issue regarding viewpoints. Thought we knew that already. Honestly, I'm just happy that the team is winning and playing a style that works. Physical or not, they are doing what needs to be done to win hockey games, and when/if they move around some pieces to get better, it will be even better. -
I don't think a parent should vigorously shake their child, let alone someone else's child. There is a difference between being stern and going over the top. This is over the top.
