Did you like it in the 2002 playoffs?
-
No, he shouldn't have.
-
Nice mustache, Ken.
-
It's not going to happen. Next.
-
No, I want you to understand that youth doesn't magically make the team better. Apparently clear cut examples don't make any sense to you.
-
Because putting youth automatically makes the team better. Where were you in the offseason of 01 when they signed some of the oldest players in the league?
-
So? This isn't "who has the best local fans" game. Florida is a terrible example. Let's not forget they removed seats in the upper bowl because they had "too many", while shrinking their building down to the third smallest in the league.

Ken Holland: Open to trade to replace Rafalski
Doc Holliday replied to wingsownnhl43's topic in General
That is proof enough you shouldn't give a damn about whether you get negged or not. Worry about the content of your responses, not how many green/red numbers you get. There are too many people here who would rather piss you off with neg rep than actually spend time to discuss the subject. -
Hudler and Filppula for Clowe?
-
No, it would not be. Clowe did well this playoff, but it was the first time in his career he was close to a point per game. Whoop dee friggin doo. Let's not forget that Franzen dominated the playoffs three years ago, while Clowe, once again, was simply an ancillary piece to the Sharks success, or lack thereof.

That guy is ******* jacked.
-
Give it up. You are becoming borderline obsessive with your Kesler hate.
-
Well, dickish and rude to fans, possibly. I don't see how a player who was named assistant captain of the Western Conference Champions is bad in the locker room (which was what RWA said). Not after the chemistry that was seen with him and players from around the league in the 2009 Olympics and from the fact he was a candidate for the Captaincy this season. Sometimes it is like some people just say things and put the "I've heard" tag on it as if they don't sound ridiculous when saying it.
-
He also plays against weaker competition. A top tier playmaker is a top tier playmaker regardless of what line he is on, Eva. Hudler is not a player you want going up against the teams' top shut down players (many of who like to play the body to provide pressure) and in no way would his numbers magically increase based on getting top line time. "But Doc! You seem to forget the sample size I provided earlier in this thread! That shows Hudler is one of the best playmakers in the league!"

Do you people enjoy just making this stuff up at will?
-
Cleary can be at par and better with Franzen. Some times. But neither Fil or Hudler are at the same level as Franzen. Give your head a shake.
-
From Guy Boucher after game 6. At least provide full context. Makes you look like you are trying to misrepresent the actual facts.

I'm a little surprised nobody has mentioned Mike Ribeiro.
-
I'll take full blame if the Sharks win tonight.

Brian Rafalski announces retirement after 11 NHL seasons
Doc Holliday replied to MacK_Attack's topic in General
The only reason Weber is remotely plausible is Nashville's internal cap that may force the GMs to be frugal with his next contract. That is why I think Suter is a realistic possibility next year. He isn't their franchise, and will not be as easy to sign for Nashville as Weber will be. -
I don't see why we would want to risk a contract on a guy who has been spending his time on IR the past two years. The guy is a great defenseman, but that is a big risk you are taking on a guy who is essentially made of glass. Don't we have enough on this team as it is?
-
I don't understand. Speaking of which I miss that guy.

It helps that: 1. Stevens is the best open ice hitter of the past couple decades 2. The team fed off his playing style to improve the team. The trap plays him and his defensive partner set up were unlike anything I've ever seen 3. Stevens didn't have to put himself out of position to make a lot of his hits. They came to him. 4. Stevens had more to bring to the table than crushing people. That was simply what he was feared for.
