He got a booboo. He is playing game 6 though, so hopefully Torres aggravates it a bit more.

And, like it or not, was a big help to Detroit's puck possession game the last three years. As much as Lidstrom is a generational talent, he had a much easier time doing what he wanted two years ago with Rafalski as his partner. Now that he has been playing with more "shut down" partners (Stuart in particular), he has had a much bigger workload, mentally and physically.

What was hostile about my comment? You call him out for his attitude, and I have no idea what has changed in that regard. So I simply asked what you thought it was. Dear me. I don't remember him ever being scrappy. In 08 and 09 he was a little guy who could make plays and do the litle things necessary. Now I simply think that he has been figured out due to teams knowing his tendencies a lot more compared to previous years, he is small, and he has had trouble adjusting back into the cramped size of NHL rinks (which also plays into his size and speed and his tendencies being easier to understand by the opposition). Due to this adversity he has just had a very frustrating year. Can he come back? No idea. But I really don't see it as a lack of attitude. In fact I think his problems are simply being put into more focus now that Detroit's depth isn't where it used to be and he is being relied on more to make things happen out there.

And what, pray tell, might that be?
-
It was the right call.
-
Malkin wasn't the only one to have his game suspension rescinded on that rule that playoff year. Get some perspective.

I am not sure what you expect from Kesler when Clowe is the one who initiated. Remember game 4 of last series? You don't have to do anything to get Clowe to want to punch you in the face.
-
Because despite the fact most posters here want the Sharks to get whalloped, there are still closet Nucks haters in the mix.
-
Why would we trade two depth pieces for a goaltender we no longer need? We need a backup/1b goaltender. Not a 1a/starter.
-
You forgot Jason Williams.
-
I'm not bent at all. No idea where you get that from.
-
Should have mentioned either of Chelios, McCarty, Maltby, hell most of the late 90s roster. Also I would ignore Heaten's rants. He obviously has something against Kesler and is simply trying to knock down his performance. "Gutless cheapshot artist" pretty much explains it to me.

Oh okay, so you have trouble reading what I wrote? I never said you should be asking to view it, but try to contribute to the discussion so that everyone involved could be a part of it with full knowledge of the material. And I am not asking for it because, like I said before, I couldn't care less about the attention Crosby is getting. It surprises me that people continue to be up in arms about stupid Crosby getting media attention. GET. OVER. IT.
-
I think Boston traded back a piece of Joe Thornton. Choke job.
-
The better team has been getting the calls. Vancouver still leads the two in penalties drawn for the series.
-
Well for starters you should have asked why the commercial hasn't turned up? Since it is hard to discuss something that we can't even see. So how about that new bigfoot picture that I won't actually show you but expect you to discuss?

Ovechkin has regressed. Datsyuk is close, but there is no way you are basing this on the last two seasons when Ovechkin lost out on the Richard to Crosby/Stamkos and when Crosby went down lost it to Perry. That is Ovechkin's whole allure. He is a crazy goal scorer, and hasn't improved in that department. Call it the system or his linemates, but he has not been getting it done, and has not been improving at the same rate Crosby has. Datsyuk has done great, but at the same time Crosby this season had 66 points in 41 games to Datsyuk's 59 in 56. And 109 in 81 to 70 in 80 the past year. Defensivly Datsyuk has had the edge but you really have to consider that Crosby has improved in that department and closed the gap. Carman may be over exaggerating but it is hard to disagree with the notion that *gasp* Crosby is the best player currently in the league.

Show me a clip and maybe I'll join your "zomg Crosby getting moar attention rage" crusade. That's a lie. Even if his is the only name showing, who cares?
-
They have five who aren't too shabby at the dot on the PK. Helm with over 50% Datsyuk with over 50% Abdelkader with over 50% Draper with well over 50% Zetterberg at 50% The Wings aren't exactly starving for players who can win faceoffs in those type of situations. Also what is the upside for Konopka? Can you ballpark his ceiling when it comes to points?
-
Holland has kept the team as a contender since 1997. Your argument is invalid. Also it isn't like Shero has added anything substantial other than a couple ancillary pieces and Hossa in 2009. And possibly firing Therrien and replacing him with Bylsma, which was pretty much a no brainer to begin with.
-
So Hudler can only perform when being put on the same line as Datsyuk? That is an issue. We already have a player who is in that position (Holmstrom) and it handcuffs the lines as it is.
-
Hossa didn't perform up to par in the playoffs, yes. However he had a great regular season and helped Detroit when the defense and goaltending couldn't keep pucks out of the net. He was also the most valuable free agent during that offseason, so getting him was huge. Holland helped hire, manage, and approve the moves of the staff in the scouting department. He is involved in all of the final decisions when it comes to drafting.
-
Did you miss his first 6 seasons? I can't stand the guy, but you can't act like this is the first year he has put up monster numbers.
-
Pretty sure it is meant to be instant, regardless.
-
What did he say that was so terrible?
