The pairing of Ericsson with anyone isn't going to work. Lidstrom allows his man to get a weak shot and Ericsson can't keep a guy from getting in front? Jeebus. -
Did anyone use +/- by itself to prop up Lidstrom? It was more of a pretty cool stat more than anything, considering the guy has been a beast on that end for the better part of his career.
-
The color guy? Yeah. He is actually pretty good.

Philly is also up 4-2 on Pittsburgh. What whaaat.

Bertuzzi Suspension Prediction/ No Suspension Per League

People really don't like Homer in front of the net. Plus Homer likes to prod the defense for s***s and giggles. -
If he can play more to keep the workload off Jimmy while not screwing the pooch then I'm all for it.

Franzen has two multi goal games. Earlier in the season he was scoring very consistently. His play and scoring(along with just about every player not named Helm) has declined since.
-
Franzen didn't score, so obviously he had a bad game. Just ask LGW.
-
Yeah, he had a pretty good game. Offensively he has been ridiculously frustrating at times, but he can improve.

3/28 GDT: Blackhawks 3 at Red Wings 2 (OT)

It wasn't, get some new glasses. See how easy that was? -

As soon as that penalty was called I knew the Hawks would win it. The refs handed them the entire Red Wings zone with that penalty, and it was hardly even worth calling. What a joke. -

Howard hopes to play Wednesday; no damage done to shoulder
Doc Holliday replied to a topic in General
More like irrelevant considering Howard is going to be ready for the playoffs. -
I'm acting like you believe that enough people are saying it to the point you need to "take a stand" for the upteenth time on the subject of Howard. Well popularity never steered us wrong on subjects before.
-
Really? The guy is being paid 700k, which some posters on the Howard watch thread wanted to point out to lower expectations for him. So to lose a goaltender who is a small portion of the cap and who's performance does partially rely on the performance of the team in front of him. Second, there were plenty of people in that thread who were upset at the injury and MacDonald becoming the potential playoff starter, even in the GDT. You are severely over-exaggerating things maybe one or two posters said. Well try not to get on your high horse about the discussion of the goaltenders (your rant about how pathetic the responses were in the injury thread was quite intense and silly) and maybe people won't call you out on it.
-
I've read plenty. And it isn't crazy to call out every once in awhile. You do it like you are being paid per word for it. Honestly, I haven't seen a vast majority in people taking joy at all. I've seen plenty people saying it isn't the worst thing in the world to have MacDonald take the reigns for a short time, and plenty saying the team is now screwed (10 minute misconduct went off on a tangent about Mac=Legace in the injury thread). Just dial it down a tad, white knight.

You need to freaking relax on the PR for Howard.

What did he say?

I think Boxing lessons can only help power, not actual form. NHL fights are a lot different in technique than boxing fights. Either way, good on him for defending Rafalski.
-
Cleary could have not given the puck away in the offensive zone. Either way, Detroit is playing too soft. I can't remember the last time they scored a goal like the Kings did tonight.
-
So Does Detroit. It all depends on your definition of "enforcerless".
