Nabokov claimed by NYI, refuses to report, suspended
Doc Holliday replied to Matt's topic in General
Perhaps it is a bluff by those teams to get others to claim him? -

I call BS on that. -
Yeah, interference is pretty awful stuff. Surprised Zetterberg wasn't suspended after that.

What are you talking about?
-
Yeah because going into overtime with your tail between your legs is a great way to start. Abdelkader let himself get taken out of an easy tap in and let Jackman just humiliate him afterwards. Come on Abby, do something.

Seems like a nice change of pace considering the nauseating number of bandwagon Michigan fans in the area.

Would be pretty cool if he clears. Probably won't, though.

I cannot believe I actually figured that acronym out. Also, how many minuses has Lidstrom gotten this season that are irrelevant to his play on the ice?
-
People wouldn't be bitching about the bitching if the people originally bitching actually did research before bitching. Stop bitching about the bitching about the bitching. Now that I'm bitching someone else is going to start bitching about my bitching. The bitching needs to stop.

I demand reparations for that mask. In all seriousness, that is perfect. Best in the league. Best in the history of Hockey. Amazing. That is a work of art. No really, solid mask.

Crosby was on the ballot but was not picked regardless. It is said the players expressed concern about Crosby's health while voting. No word on what else they decided on, but I really don't care. Lids is a captain and I'm happy.
-
It's a story without any backing to it. An unsubstantiated rumor. A rumor that shouldn't have had wheels to begin with. But who cares? Let's talk about it and bash Crosby because there is a news article painting him in a negative light, regardless of the truth behind it.

You are misrepresenting what I am saying. Again.
-
Hudler has 8 points in his last 10.
-
The regular season matters. You can't have playoff numbers if you can't get there in the first place. (For the record, cap hits are irrelevant in the playoffs) For the record, Hudler was SIXTH in points in the 2009 playoffs while being NINTH in forward TOI/g. How exactly are those fourth line numbers?
-
I also don't remember Yzerman getting mad at clean hits and wanting his teammates to fight his battles for him, either. In fact, did you see Hall ask his teammates for Doughty's head? No, Hall went out and tried to do it himself. Probert went after Mcquire in that play because Mcquire WENT AFTER Yzerman, knowing it was a mismatch. This isn't the same instance at all. Go and ask Mickey if he agrees with the conduct in today's NHL if you are so hell bent on disagreeing with me.

And two years just made him bad? (Also I appreciate the sidestep from your silly "these guys played more than Hudler in the playoffs" argument) So what, he isn't doing what he is supposed to, but he is getting points like he is supposed to? What exactly is Hudler supposed to do on this team? Playoff performance is big but you still need guys who can get you there. Hudler was one of those players and seems to be improving to be one of those again. Hopefully Hudler will produce to a point where he can build on in for next year and be a valuable asset to the Wings again.

Hudler had most of his assists in 2009 on the PP, so it would make sense to call him a "specalist" in that area because he gets more performance out of the Powerplay. And? Regular season performance matters. I'm honestly curious what the point is here. We aren't in the playoffs. What philosophy? You are just making statements. Also Hudler had more TOI per game than either Drake or Maltby (also more points than the three combined). He was 9th of forwards in TOI/g and 4th in points total. Draper had more time than any of those three because he was the go-to guy for defensive zone faceoffs at even strength and on the PK.

Yzerman was a big boy and could stand up for himself. However he didn't get mad when he got hit hard. He got even. My point is far from stupid. If Hall is going to get pissed that someone lit him up with a check, he should find a way to get even (and he attempted to). His team doesn't have to babysit him. I'm not expecting Hall to do anything. I'm saying if he wants retribution for a clean hit he shouldn't have his merry band of Oilers doing the revenge. It's not like it would be the first time a young star stood up for himself in hockey.

I live 5 minutes away from Compuware so Plymouth is my team. Love their games against Windsor.

He wasn't scratched in either playoff year.

*sigh*

I said "let him go for Doughty." Not "go for Doughty." The difference there is very important and it illustrates the point I was making. Hall should have been the one to stand up for himself. Not the entire Oilers team.
