I'm not. I do not hate the idea of having an enforcer on this team however I do not see the inherent need in acquiring one like you all do. If Holland signed an enforcer or fighting type, I would have no problem and would look forward to how he gels with the team. Holland has not done so, but I will not be worried about the state of the team like you all are. I won't use my nostalgia of the late 90s teams to affect my perception of the Wings like you all do. Perhaps that is why I am labeled as an anti-enforcer by you "experts".

The funny thing is these people are pro-enforcer slappies who seem to carry the idea that either you are with the idea of having an enforcer or you are against enforcers (also I am so shocked you didn't address the post on page one that shows I didn't even make any type of assertion close to what you are accusing me of). I agree with Howard's play but not with the idea that he has to be extra good. Extra good would be 2 goals or less every single game. Right now he just has to fill the holes in his armor and get back to his sound positioning from last season. That enough will get rid of these soft goals he keeps letting in.

Datsyuk fought Perry and did fine and I don't find it likely that Pronger would fight a guy with a better fighting record on this team. He went after Dan Cleary for crying out loud. I think it has been stated countless times why Hudler remains on this team, slumping aside, and Miller brings a defensive game no enforcer would match. Considering our even strength play is the issue right now, I don't see how an enforcer is going to fix any of those problems. But good luck trying to convince us of that for the next 30 pages.

Osgood is not legendary in any way like those before him. Osgood will likely not make the HOF. Osgood should not have his number hanging from the rafters. However he is better than a lot of you downers say.

That would be the visiting team. Pittsburgh was away. Detroit was away. Philadelphia was away. Washington was away. It remains to be seen how far those caps go.

Perhaps the context of the situation is necessary? The defense is not doing the goaltenders any favors right now. However, Osgood is doing good with what he has while Howard is doing alright with what he has. Howard needs to get from alright to great. He is our #1 and he needs to show he can bail out the defense on occasion.
