Agreed. Lidstrom has had to make up for a lot of Stuart's mistakes lately. The reason the Sedins were able to score on the powerplay twice was because Lidstrom had to cover two players in front of the net while Stuart was off in la la land. I think that playing with the greatest defenseman in 20 years has caused him to feel invincible out there, and not in the good way.
-
I think Cleary expected Stuart to realize there were bodies in front and could keep the puck close to the ice.

Really, now? I highly doubt Detroit is going to go .500 for the next month. And even so Detroit has shown they can go on a tear towards the end of the year and get back into the picture. I'm not worried. Hard to get injured when you float all the time.
-
You really don't like that guy.

Hossa was given more money to play in Chicago. It had nothing to do with the cup. He wanted job security after the experiment in Detroit failed.

Business isn't fair.

What gives you the impression that those weren't good games for him?
-
And Howard has been lighting up the rink with his play? And the defense has been competent?

I hate bloggers.

While Osgood didn't have a great first, he and the team held down the fort in the later stages of the second and third period. Let's hope his next start is a win.

Montreal.

Hyperbole, anyone?
-
I don't, but thanks for playing. To be honest I believe there were more Euros on the 2008 team that won than this squad. Maybe check your facts next time.
-
Because a fighter is always the solution to our problems? Keep fighting the "anti-Euro" fight. I know you think it applies to just about everything.

You are more annoying with this than the Wings fans who whine about Crosby getting attention every game.
-
Mindfly, you are aware nobody takes you seriously. Right?

Anything that is sharp can cut someone if it makes contact at a high veloticy. Sticks cut too, but they aren't considered razor sharp. Point being, a waffle being thrown on the ice during play could cause injury. A skate being sharp isn't going to magically negate the issue of it coming into contact with a foreign object.
-
Yuuuhhhh.
-
I lol'd. Well done, GMR.
-
Stuart with a joke of a play. A competent defensive play and the period ends with both teams tied.
-
Skates are not razor sharp.
-
Skates are designed for the ice. Skates are NOT designed for random objects thrown on the ice.

It's more about the fact there isn't a more profitable matchup in the NHL at this point.
