We are talking about Osgood's legacy and the comments directed towards him. Washed up or not, Osgood has a legacy. That's not the point. Howard has proven himself as a legitimate NHL goaltender. Larsson is using him "outplaying" Howard back in the day as a reason for him to be on the roster now. Unfortunately he hasn't proven anything that shows he should be there. Cool. He says he outplayed Howard years ago. Howard is in the NHL and was a Calder candidate last year while Larsson is nowhere to be found. What a ******* all star. If Jiri Hudler is going to be castrated for seeking more money, then Larsson deserves to be rebuked for thinking he is better than he is. Do you think it would affect the team to have a fourth liner who has spent very little time to bash a veteran who has 4 Stanley Cup rings?

Yes, it was stupid. Osgood has 3 rings. Two as a starter. A conn smythe run in 2009. Howard bailed his team out last season in his first year after being questioned whether he could hack it or not. What has Larsson done to warrant his answers? Nothing. He is essentially a nobody going after his potential teammates (Osgood a potential goaltending coach) because he doesn't feel he needs to pay his dues. He is selfish. Plain and simple. Thankfully Holland doesn't share your "insight" and cares more about the team than the individual. Question: Would it be appropriate for a guy like Miller to complain about being scratched by saying that Draper is done? Do you think Babcock would appreciate those comments?

True? Osgoood had a pretty damn good game against LA and despite this being his final year he is doing fine as a backup. Larsson is a nobody taking pot shots at Osgood to justify him deserving to be on the Wings roster. He doesn't deserve it. What was the question? And in the context of the question what forced him to say that he outplayed Howard and that Osgood was done?

Seems silly to send it to one single person instead of let the public see. If it was such a big story you would think lgw would be freaking out about it by now.

Like I said before: you don't bash the winningest goaltender in Detroit Red Wings history just because you believe he is done. That isn't being eager, it's being selfish and stupid.

I wonder if the ref yelled for Seabrook to "don't throw your stick!" Seems like the more popular bandwagon teams are allowed to get warnings first (i.e. Pittsburgh's 6 on the ice)

I can only imagine the look on Bab's face after reading that. What a stupid cocky little f***. I don't even care if you outplayed Howard and think Osgood is finished. You don't pretend you are better than a goaltender who can actually hack it in the NHL (how many games have you played, there Dan?) and bash the winningest goaltender in Wings history. That just screams "I don't care about the team, just myself." Larsson will not be a Wing for long.

True. Personally I think Detroit needed a game where their goaltender doesn't put on a clinic (and despite Osgood playing well, he didn't put on any kind of clinic out there) and make up for their mediocre play.

Therein lies the true fan. Never have hope in your 390+ win goaltender. No matter what always doubt him after winning two cups as a starter here. Good to know you are showing us all what it means to truly be a fan.

Osgood was bad tonight. Allowing 3 goals in 64 minutes with his offense having to bail him out with a whopping 2 goals in unacceptable. Especially to a 4th line scrub like Kopitar.

Stolberg: I'm not saying Lidstrom wasn't completely at fault (shouldn't have gone down so low) but not only did Franzen call for a horrible pass, but he also turned back into the offensive zone for a second while the Kings grabbed the puck.

I honestly think the defense was as good as it could have been tonight. The offense was terribly underwhelming, however. No idea why Franzen called for a pass through 3 King players. That was stupid.

Detroit should never have a third. They already have a great jersey and have no need to experiment. Also considering they are close to the top when it comes to jersey/memorabilia sales, there is no need to try for that kind of gimmick.

Detroit needs to play better tomorrow night or they won't be able to get a win together. Great game by Howard. Hopefully Mindly will shut his ******* mouth at least for a couple games.

Quincey was a depth defenseman who had one decent year in LA and a pretty good one in Colorado. It was the most minuscule of missteps in Wings management and isn't even worth mentioning. It was practically irrelevant.
