His back knee wasn't straight from where I saw but either way his leg made the motion that he was stopping. There was no kicking motion that you see when someone slewfoots another.

Franzen was trying to stop. He wasn't trying to slew foot Duchene, and it is irrelevant because Duchene embellished the call as soon as Franzen's skate got his. It was a flat out dive.

09 was worse. That team had very little concept of defense. I still remember the 3-0 lead Detroit had against Edmonton in game six of 06. That was a nightmare.

That's all I saw from Detroit back in 08. That's why they lost game 5, and that's why the Penguins were able to get one final great chance on Osgood in game 6. Something in Babcock's system causes that, but I have no idea what.

Awful third. No life from this team. Dumb penalties (WTF EAVES?) really didn't help. Got the win though, and tonight two periods got us a win. Hopefully they will learn from that third period and do better next game.

1. The pegs were in the posts. 2. Plenty of those shots are fishy. 3. The net moves WAY too much on some of the shots. 4. It's a reebok commercial meant to "demonstrate" the amount of power you can unleash on a shot.

Tonight was the first time I've seen a player so annoyed by another's domination that they just stop trying altogether. Penner just gave up after Datsyuk picked his pocket. Talk about frustration.

Oh I'm sorry, I thought you said they could have made more opportunities than Hudler did tonight. And they couldn't together get a lousy point between them? Well that is great, but maybe next time you should think before getting annoyed that Babcock feels like getting a 2.8 million dollar player going.

The fourth line had no points tonight. And? Averages are useless this early on. Players get hot and cold throughout an entire 82 game season. Also I love the fact that you think you know more than Mike Babcock. Good on you.

No, none of those players would have had the patience to wait for an opportunity and make that pass through traffic right to Filppula. The fourth line is great but they try to force things a lot.

He seems to be working a lot harder to generate chances, which is good. However that may be a product of Cleary's dominant stretch and Bertuzzi finally finding himself in Detroit. Either way, I don't really care. He is doing great.

Yeah I've always found that weird. Maybe the constant VS broadcasts and announcers pretty much talking about what a great franchise Detroit is makes up for the lack of commercials? I'm still livid that Center Ice dedicated their commercial to Pens fans after the Wings won in 2008. What a ******* crock.
