The Eaves, Miller, Helm line hasn't done too bad. Helm just needs to get some hands and Miller needs to just be better. Also who would you sit on the third line for Abby? Cleary has busted his ass out there, Modano is not going to work harder from sitting (at least not in my opinion), and Hudler needs to keep getting involved in NA hockey to adapt his game again.

The team is 5-1-1. You can start worrying once the team starts playing poorly due to Abdelkader not being on the top line.

Pavel Datsyuk is the man who can't be killed.

He is on the Ducks. For some reason with all the dumb penalties they have taken since the lockout they expect not to get called more. It's amazing how often it happens. Either way, cry more all the way back to California while we savor the two points we just stole from your sorry asses.

Because that's what I said. Howard reacted in perfect time to attempt to get in position to stop the shot. However he did not get into butterfly position during that reaction. He seemed able to react quick enough to get into half butterfly position. You might have an argument if Howard got into butterfly at any point on that shot. We are playing Phoenix, right? I would go with Howard again. Give Osgood an easier start.
-
Because Howard would have stopped it easily had he been in proper butterfly position?

Low standards for quick an accurate?

Even from the pressbox a healthy Lebda is a bad Lebda.

Kronwall was in position. He was not able to establish significant body position to prevent a shot because Cleary gave it away right in Kronwall's face. Cleary and Howard had gaffes on that play. You don't forgive one because of the faults of another. I do not agree with his line of reasoning. If you put a different player and he replicates that shot (and lets be honest, it wasn't anything special), the line of reasoning dictates that Howard is suddenly at fault for that goal. I never said for Howard to get into butterfly before the shot. I said he needed to get into butterfly to stop the shot. He attempted some obscure form of butterfly when he reacted and it cost him. If his reaction is what it is 98% of the time, that isn't a goal. Period.

I would suggest you heed your own advice. He is using the legacy of the shooter as a reason not to fault the goaltender. 1. The shot wasn't that fast. 2. The angle was terrible. 3. Howard didn't even get into butterfly to make the save. 4. Selanne didn't have much space at all. Kronwall pushed him wide as far as he could and there wasn't much else for Selanne to do but shoot. If Howard is in butterfly position, it isn't weak because Howard did all he could and put himself in the best possible position to make the save. But he didn't. He put one pad down and hesitated to put the other down, which created the space for the goal.

In other news: great scorers never have flukey, weak goals. Ever. Good to know. Also, he didn't have a breakaway, and it was on a weak angle.
-
Can I also state that Franzen has a hot stick right now? He shoots all the time and he scores. All. The. Time. Amazing.

Howard wasn't even in butterfly for that goal. It was horribly weak. Kinda like when Osgood goes into butterfly but instead of putting his stick in the hole he swipes it at the puck. Just a "what are you doing?" play.

Lou's counterattack at ownership for forcing him to sign Kovy to that horrible contract?

Yes it was.

Detroit Red Wings: Making Anaheim fans rage since 2009. Howard had some good saves and was completely hung out to dry by his defense, but when the D finally got their heads out of their asses he lets in a brutal go-ahead goal. He also seemed to be way too out of position in the third period. Didn't end up costing him but there were a few scary points in the game. He didn't have a "horrible" game, but it wasn't that great, either. Either way we got the two points.

It's funny how the Hawks have played 3 more games so their position in the standings is inflated.
-
Stammer has 8 goals already. Look at him go. Turco with another softie. Blues up 3-2 with 9 to go.
-
Good for him. Hope he has another 50+ goal season.

It states that Disney lost the rights. "When Disney sold the team, it lost the rights to the name Mighty Ducks" Considering it was a common misconception, it doesn't surprise me the creator of that site made the gaffe.
-
Of course it is true, because Howard is god.

If he plays the full season, between 35 and 40. The BFF line is just amazingly dominant out there. I'll go with 30-35, under the assumption he will be injured some time this season.

Wow Howard. Way to be professional.
